Full disclosure - I bought one of these from a private seller but I felt this product could use an honest review from someone who's tried headless offerings from multiple manufacturers. I've owned a few Strandbergs, but I eventually settled on one of these as the neck just seems to agree with my hands a little better. The neck is more traditional, wide, thin, and flat. I immediately felt comfortable on it. The fretwork is outstanding. The wood/finish is stellar, pun intended. Good price point - you're getting a lot of instrument and high-end features for the same price as other manufacturer's base-line or lower end models. As far as weight, Strandbergs are a bit lighter than the G8FX, but the Overdrive models are supposedly lighter than the X models if that's a concern. Highly recommend.
