Perfect to use with 4 cable method when using the Boss GT1000. They definitely improved the sound. Was previously using cheapest instrument cables available at musicians friend. Why settle when for a few more bucks you can get these cables.

I've been using a Monster S100 cable on my Fender Jazz bass for the last couple years and can really only compare this Lava Blue Demon to that Monster cable. In terms of tone, the lows sound very similar between the 2 cables (which is good), however the mids and high notes are noticeably clearer with the Lava cable. I consider this to be good for practice as I get a little more finger noise with this cable and can more easily hear when I play a note poorly. If I want to get rid of the extra finger/string noise I can adjust the amp accordingly. Another good thing about this cable is that the plugs are higher quality than the Monster cable. I can feel it "snap" into place in my guitar's jack? something the Monster cable never did well. I think Monster's plugs might be a little bit off in size. I like that the cable is blue, I have a desk full of black cables at home so it's nice to be able to find my instrument cable at a quick glance in a sea of cables.
