Description
The LR Baggs M1A Active Soundhole Magnetic Pickup is a groundbreaking pickup designed to amplify your acoustic guitar's natural tone. LR Baggs has unlocked the potential of the dual-coil humbucker design with their patented TriAxial Dynamic Technology. The primary coil moves with your guitar's soundboard to capture the instrument's inherent warmth and resonance. The secondary coil is suspended to pick up high-frequency details, adding crispness. Together, they deliver the perfect blend of string and body sound.
TriAxial Dynamic Technology Provides Unparalleled Realism
The M1A Active's TriAxial Dynamic Technology unlocks the potential of the humbucker design. The primary coil moves with your guitar's soundboard, capturing the natural tone and warmth of the wood. The secondary coil is suspended to pick up high-frequency resonances, resulting in a balanced sound with crisp articulation. This technology allows the M1A Active to amplify both the string and body sound of your acoustic for unrivaled realism and responsiveness.
Onboard Volume Control Gives You Total Command of Your Tone
The M1A Active features an onboard volume control, giving you complete control over your amplified acoustic tone. Adjust the volume to suit the needs of any performance situation. Turn it up to cut through a mix, or roll it back for a more subtle sound. The M1A Active puts you in the driver's seat, allowing you to shape your tone to perfection.
Road-Ready and Built to Last
The M1A Active is ready to hit the road right out of the box. It comes with a pre-wired strapjack output, so installation is plug and play. It is powered by a single 9V battery that provides over 1,000 hours of performance time. The pickup itself is constructed from durable, road-tested materials designed to handle the rigors of touring. You can rely on the M1A Active to amplify your acoustic night after night.
Add Life to Your Acoustic Performance
The M1A Active Soundhole Magnetic Pickup was designed by LR Baggs to add life and vibrancy to your acoustic guitar performance. It captures the natural tone of your instrument and transmits it to the audience with stunning realism.

Super product. I've got this pickup on three of my Gibsons. Sweet and warm acoustic sound. I definitely recommend it.............One thing to be aware of-----Some sites (not Guitar Center) claim you will get 1000 hours of use from the battery. Maybe if it just sits in a guitar case. From my approx 5 years using them, I'd say around 200-300 hrs of playing time (which is actually pretty good). Besides, changing the battery is pretty easy...............A superb pickup. Don't hesitate if you want one.

Very happy with my purchase of the LR Baggs M1Active Soundhole Magnetic Pickup. I easily installed it into my Yamaha FG730S myself and it sounds incredible! Even my guitar teacher was impressed. Always happy with Guitar Center and their products and service.

Will I have any feedback issues using this with an Xvive U2 wireless system seeing as it's an active pickup?
Feedback with the M1A is unlikely unless you're at high stage volumes or right in front of monitors. The M1A is a magnetic pickup, not a mic or under-saddle piezo, so it's actually less prone to feedback than many other acoustic pickups.submitted3 months ago

Was wondering if anyone has compared this to the M80, and if so....which did you prefer, and why? Thanks
The M1A is in a lot of ways the predecessor to the M80. Out of pure sound quality the M80 is the stronger bet.submitted6 years ago

Hello! I would like to know if there is someone to install the product at the same moment I buy both the guitar and the M80 right at the store
Installation should only take a few minutes and there should be an available tech at most stores.
