The Americana String Cajon combines a hand-selected, exotic African sapele wood front plate with custom-designed D'Addario strings, which create a crisp vocalization that's essential for the traditional Flamenco sound. LP's state-of-the-art tuning mechanism is easy to reach and allows you to control string sensitivity and tonal response. Whether you're choosing a cajon to perform traditional world music or you're a drum set player looking for rhythmic solution for your "unplugged" gigs, the Americana Series Cajons from LP are amongst the most well-made, best sounding cajons in the world.

Comments about LP Americana String Cajon:
I've had this cajon for 4 years and I have played sets with is pretty often over the course of those years (months where I play twice, and months where I play daily).
I absolutely love it. I have played a lot of cajons both in store and performing, but theres just nothing like the sound that comes out of this little guy. The bass is deep and fantasic, the birch wall is thick and not cheap feeling, and the African Sapele face is thin to get good resonance.
This cajon is suitable for all types of music. If it were to get stolen I would buy the exact same one tomorrow. I love to bring it places where they "already have a cajon" because I know its better than whatever they have.
Haven't played a better one yet and I doubt I ever will.
