Revocation's Dave Davidson on his Jackson Signature Pro Series Warrior WR7 | Jackson Guitars

Description
Jackson continues its storied history of working with the best in the business with the creation of Davidson's Pro Series Signature Warrior WR7 model, an instrument built for taking creative liberties and running the metal gamut. Davidson's take on Jackson's revered angular shape is in a 7-string form featuring a 25.5" scale length, mahogany body with Distressed Ash top and one-piece
through-body maple neck with graphite reinforcement and scarf joint, providing the utmost stability against the rigors and ravages of the road.
The oiled neck back finish allows for smooth playing feel, while its 12-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets is designed for highly technical lightspeed playing-more curved by the nut for comfortable chording, it flattens out as you move up the neck for increasingly fast playing speed and wide bends without fretting out.
To meet Revocation's propensity for building rich, complex chord voicings, Davidson teamed with DiMarzio to create his own signature Imperium pickups, which power this signature Pro Series axe with dynamic tone and punchy clarity. Designed so that all notes ring through, from full-bodied, tight low end while using high gain amps to crystal clear cleans on non-distorted channels, these pickups are also highly responsive to harmonics. This axe also features a single tone control, a single volume control with push/pull coil split for single-coil tone and a three-way toggle switch.
Dive-bomb or flutter at will with the Floyd Rose FRT 1000 series double-locking tremolo bridge system, recessed for pick hand comfort and providing superior string stability, sustain and dynamic tremolo action.
Dark and menacing with its Distressed Ash finish, black body, neck and headstock binding and black hardware, this signature Warrior is primed and ready for battle.

Awesome awesome awesome! All I can say about this guitar is how versatile it is. The sounds: the imperium pickups are amazing! Cleans : bright and very clear, with a note definition I have never experienced. You hear every single note. Switch on the coil split in the neck pickup and wow! Sounds like a real acoustic setup. Crunch tones: I can go from playing Allegaeon to Joe Satriani to Al Dimeola! On the distorted side the passive pickups act as if they are a high output active pickup. You can pick hard and you hear it distorted, pick soft and it goes clean! Absolutely amazing! The neck: very fast, ebony fretboard is very impressive at this price, easy to bend and very very fast! The frets are dressed well but I have felt better, just a little more rounding would have been nice, but better than most at this price point. The best thing about this shape is it fits my body ergonomically. I can rest on lap like a strat, or put the back between my legs like a V, both ways are perfect and the neck is balanced when standing and playing. The most comfortable guitar to play sitting and standing! Now I get the shape! (I was a little put off by the looks but it plays perfect) I upgraded the floyd with brass block and titanium saddles and hardware and took this machine to the next level! The only downside was the electronics started to short out (the 3 way switch) but I switch the pickups constantly so it was under heavy heavy use, and I had a guitar tech fix for under 50. Jackson has outdone themselves at this price point! Thanks Dave and Jackson for a truly versatile guitar with an exceptional value! I don't think you can get a better guitar at this price point. Don't let the shape fool you, this is waaaay more than a metal machine! You can use it for all styles of music and is a great 1st 7 string for anyone! The 25.5 scale makes it easy to transition from 6 string to 7. Don't hesitate, this is a steal at this price point!

Neck dive is when you have a guitar where the neck is heavier than the body or the guitar doesn't balance itself properly when being worn with a guitar strap. Does this guitar neck dive? One can easily see the tremolo and tell it is capable of doing whammy bar tricks.
With most odd shaped guitars the neck is typically heavier, but with the strap button placement on this guitar it is balanced when playing with a strap.submitted7 years ago

Does this guitar neck dive?
This guitar comes with a Floyd Rose FRT 1000 Double-Locking Tremolo, so it would be capable of neck dives.
