Overview

Djent forefather and speed demon Misha Mansoor has gained widespread acclaim as the mastermind behind the axe-centric progressive metal band Periphery. He’s known to impress the most discerning of metal fans with his steadfast, fleet-fingered technique, and his personally designed collection of Jackson signature Juggernaut instruments is sure to set any shredder’s tone ablaze.

For 2017, Jackson adds a new Pro Series version of the Misha Mansoor Juggernaut HT6, offering many similar features as his U.S.A. model with a price tag that is easier on the wallet.

The Pro Juggernaut HT6 features a basswood body, one-piece bolt-on maple speed neck with graphite reinforcement and wrap-around heel for comfort, 16 in. flat radius ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets, offset inlay dots, Luminlay side-dots, and convenient thumb wheel truss rod butt adjust.

Not willing to sacrifice tone, Mansoor spent considerable time working with Jackson to develop new, killer-sounding Jackson MM1 pickups, which can be shaped with a master volume and master tone control with push/pull select and five-way blade switch. Also features a Jackson HT6 string-through-body hardtail bridge, Jackson die-cast locking tuners, black hardware and reversed Jackson 3x3 (3 over, 3 under) AT-1 headstock. Case sold separately.

Misha Mansoor promo, bad overall product

Comments about Jackson Pro Series Misha Mansoor Juggernaut HT6:

This guitar is poor quality. It does not stay in tune whatsoever. The locking tuners are poor quality, they have nearly a full turn of play in them (and yes...I have strung them correctly). The plastic nut doesn't help either. Be prepared to tune at least every 5 minutes. The pickups are good if you're not planning on using any pedals. If you use noise gate, they will sound really watered down. It's a bummer because this is made for metal/djent but the output level sounds more like classic rock. The basswood body feels quality and it's heavy. The fretboard feels like cheap plastic even though it's wood. The action is low, which is good. Overall, this feels like a cheap toy. It's worth maybe $400, it would need at least $300 worth of upgrades to be playable. The nut, pickups, and tuners would all need to be replaced.

Comments about Jackson Pro Series Misha Mansoor Juggernaut HT6:

This guitar surpassed expectations. I truly love picking it up, and the pictures don't do justice as to how beautiful it is. The tone is perfect. Everything that I have played sounds amazing, not just Periphery but other styles of music too. The cleans are great too, and I thought it might be lacking there compared to my Fender.

There are a couple of Quality Control issues that have been in both models I played. Mainly sharp frets and string buzz, but some set-up work fixes the issues nicely enough (I don't think mine is perfect yet). I truly recommend this guitar.
