Overview

The JS22-7 DKA Dinky JS Series seven-string features an arch-top basswood body, bolt-on maple neck, 16"-radius rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and "piranha" inlays, 26.5" scale length, dual high-output Jackson humbucking pickups, single volume and tone controls, direct-mount hard-tail bridge, and die-cast tuners.

Jackson high-output pickups
Painstakingly voiced for full, rich tone while providing maximum overdrive and sustain.

Bound fingerboard with sharkfin inlays
Elegantly bound JS fingerboards also feature Jackson' unmistakably classic and instantly recognizable œsharkfin inlays.

Double-locking tremolo and high-mass hard-tail bridge
Once strings are stretched and tuned, JS double-locking tremolo bridges lock them down tight for total stability that withstands even the deepest, most swooping trem-arm dives. Jackson Hi-Mass hard-tail and compensate string-through bridges provide rock solid sustain and stability.

Comments about Jackson JS 22-7 DKA Electric Guitar:

I loved my Jackson V, it was a beast, love the longer necks... been searching for a baritone forever in my price range. I played this in the store and like it ok... but once it was hooked up to my bugera head with the metal core distortion pedal, it sounded like amazing! I have arthritis in my hands real bad, and believe it or not this is a lot more comfortable due to the room I have to play now. You would think the opposite, right? nope, this helped a lot since you change hand positions a bit. Also, the way the picking works out, I can attack the string from a better angle, using some great bass like picking techniques without destroying the strings. I wish the it didn't get so nasty after a show with the shiny black, but... it's a performer all the way!

Comments about Jackson JS 22-7 DKA Electric Guitar:

I have never even played a 7 string, in my 50 years of playing. I went in to try a JS22, and ended up pulling this one down. It was awkward at first, but I love the way it feels. It's almost like learning to play, all over again, and that's a good thing. It made me realize I was bored. I'm going to have a blast learning to use this fantastic guitar! I would prefer the flat black, but I don't want to risk ordering one, and it not be as good. I actually like the pickups, too. I think this must be a loss leader for Jackson, because if they make a great guitar for $200, then imagine what a$500 one would be like. Jackson has never even been on my radar, because I associate them with the eighties. I'm more funk, than hair band, so I didn't pay that much attention to that scene. I also know that Randy Rhoads was a virtuoso, and played them. So, long story longer.. I'm glad I decided to look at something besides my beloved Ibanez, or the other usual suspects, and discovered a hidden gem. Well... hidden from me, I guess.

Comments about Jackson JS 22-7 DKA Electric Guitar:

I was looking for a decent 7 string between 300-400$ and I was blown away on the feel of this guitar in store. The sound is decent (albeit through my decent amp) but it plays like butter. I recently picked guitar back up again after 4 years and the ease you can play on this fretboard seems like i havent missed of day of practice. The action is pretty good, some buzzing on the 7th string but i just need to get it set up. It plays almost as good as my ibanez rg2550z prestige, which costs about 5X as much. Great guitar for any one looking to try out a 7 string.

Comments about Jackson JS 22-7 DKA Electric Guitar:

I read lots of reviews on cheap seven strings, then I came across this one. The reviews were saying it felt more expensive than what it wasn't listed as. I was a bit skeptical at first, so I went to pick it up. Needless to say, I was very impressed. It's a very solid guitar I would extremely recommend to give a try. I was able to put an .80 on the lowest string with only a bit of adjusting. Plays very nicely as well and is super fun.
