The Ibanez RG1127PBFX RG Premium Series guitar offers 7 strings of metal salvation with stunning looks to match. The American basswood body is topped with poplar burl. The 11-piece Wizard II-7 neck is made of maple, walnut and purpleheart for increased rigidity and sustain. The ebony fretboard is loaded with Jescar EVO gold frets—Ibanez gives them the Prestige fret edge treatment for extra smooth playing. Mother-of-pearl dot inlays line the fretboard; luminescent side dots make for easy visibility on dark stages.
Ibanez collaborated with DiMarzio to create the dual Covered Fusion Edge-7 pickups, which combine clarity with a smooth response. A coil-tap switch allows for more tonal options. The RG1127PBFX RG Premium 7-String uses Belding wiring and a copper-shielded control cavity for noiseless sound. It's decked out with Cosmo Black hardware, including a Mono-rail bridge for accurate intonation. Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads will keep those 7 strings in tune, and make string-changing quick and easy. The Ibanez RG1121PBFX RG Premium 7-String comes with a soft case.
