Overview

The GSR100EX bass offers a lot of what you pay for in an Ibanez bass, without a lot of extras. The fast, sleek Ibanez neck, the quality hardware and the elegant styling you expect from an Ibanez bass are all here. The single humbucker with tone control gets you a consistent, full bass sound and the slender nut diameter makes it easy to play. The tone control is very active and take your tone from a smooth, jazzy walking bass sound to a bright and punchy funk tone. It is lightweight, sounds great and looks cool, and is more than enough bass to do the job in your growing rock band or to practice on and pull your playing skills together. An excellent bass for the lefty beginner to intermediate.

Awesome first bass

Comments about Ibanez GSR100EX Soundgear Bass Left-Handed Bass:

I got this as a first bass. It is basic, does the trick, and sounds great. The price was fantastic. Again, it is basic, a tone knob and a volume knob and that is it. It is high quality, I've owned it for only about 5 months but it has held up fantastic. The pickups sound good, the bridge is good, the fretboard is nice and thin and makes playing easy. It is nice and feels great with a basic, cheap strap. I can play standing or sitting until my fingers go numb. As far as how it looks, it is incredibly shiny and if black is your color, you're in luck. Mine looks all dingy, but when I polish it, it looks brand new. A great buy for a starter.

this is a great bass whether you play large or small venues, it has rich tone and it only has two knobs so it's tone is easy to control.

Comments about Ibanez GSR100EX Soundgear Bass Left-Handed Bass:

I bought this bass as a total beginner, never once bought a guitar in my life so I cannot compare it to anything else. Definitely enjoyable to play but nothing crazy expensive.

Comments about Ibanez GSR100EX Soundgear Bass Left-Handed Bass:

Excellent bass guitar for a beginner. Great price. Electronics work well. Did some minor adjustments to the neck rod to get the string action correct and put on new strings. Plus it was one of the few left handed basses in stock at any store anywhere. Thank you Guitar Center for having fair priced left handed basses in stock.

Comments about Ibanez GSR100EX Soundgear Bass Left-Handed Bass:

Great for a first instrument and a good price. The craftsmanship is decent and the wiring had a few glitches after a few weeks but Guitar Center fixed it for me and I keep it around as a spare bass now.
