      Great harmonica!

Comments about Hohner 7545 CX12 Chromatic Harmonica:

I can only compare this to my other Chromatic, the Chormonica 270 (also by Hohner). This unit has very little air leakage and therefore possesses a very good dynamic range! It is a good size and fits well in the hand. My only nitpiks are that plastic never has a quality feel to it even though this is pretty solid, and the case is bigger than it needs to be.
I like the 270's metal shell because it vibrates nicely whereas the plastic of the CX12 effectively dampens all vibrations but that's a personal preference.
You may need to make a slight tweak to one or two draw reeds at the extremes of the unit's range but this apparently is par for the course. You can find videos online for this and it is very simple.
If you are in the fence regarding this purchase, I do not think you'll be disappointed!

Comments about Hohner 7545 CX12 Chromatic Harmonica:

I use this instrument for basically everything I need a chromatic harmonica for. Simply put it has the most dynamic range of any chromatic I've played or owned (I currently have a Seydel De Luxe, 1940's Hohner 260 and 280, and a 1970's Hohner CBH). The tones of this beast is absolutely warm, rich, and very organic sounding considering it is made from ABS plastic! The single-piece design is excellent for cleaning and it is durable as any instrument I have ever used.

Comments about Hohner 7545 CX12 Chromatic Harmonica:

This is my favorite harmonica. It doesn't vibrate in you hands, but has a clear, sweet tone. The ABS body and mouthpiece is the easiest on your lips, and the 12-hole body fits nicely in your hands. I haven't serviced it yet, but it's snap-apart design makes it easy to service as well as giving it the tightest construction of all harmonicas. You won't use as much breath playing this instrument.

I would like to buy a 16-hole version of this harmonica.
