A Full Guitar, Bass and Vocal Rig

Encased in the HeadRush Prime’s compact, sharp-looking steel chassis is a backline’s worth of gear-emulating potential. Great product!

I have not seen a pedal that does it all like this since the Digitech GNX4. I have owned the helix then the whole Katana line until trying Headrush MX5. Their tones are the most realistic. I've been waiting for a company to get it right and they did. Just enough solid presets to introduce you to it's capabilities and be inspired to create your own. The pedals and amps react really close to the way the real ones do if you were to compare the analog chain to Headrushes virtual signal chain. After all that is what the new modeling is all about these days. Although I have not tried out the cloning feature yet, the videos I have seen show how good this is at cloning. Good enough to leave your amp at home and go live without it. It is so easy to use you will not have to look at the manual until you are ready to dive deep. So many options for inputs and outputs that whatever the situation you should be cover. You can plug your guitar in, bass, or microphone and it has you covered with all the options for bass, guitar, and vocals. The Prime even has Antares vocal processor built in for auto tune. There is a vocoder and many other features and FX for the vocals. This unit is rather large and heavy but well built and should hold up to live performances. With this price I think the competition will have to prepare for a disruption. This might even force a new Helix to emerge.

Worth the price

This thing does so much that it's making me feel more interested in playing again. Did not think I would been usingthe looper, but once I started playing around with was hooked. Super happy with the unit, but not so happy with the service from the store

Very user friendly. Built in WiFi and touchscreen is handy. Got a great metal tone within minutes. Just a bit heavy and bulky for me, and some effects (notably pitch) have slight latency. Overall though, the sounds and capabilities are unbeaten at this price. I can recommend!

I have always preferred single effects units over a bunch of pedals. I bought the original pedalboard for that and it's ability to send midi signals and change the channels on my amp. I also play with other musicians remotely and one used a HR. I love the option of sending all my rigs for road gigs and leave a lot of gear at home. Well, the Prime came out and I waited. I wish I had got it right away. The extra model options, upgraded interface, MORE built-in IR, WiFi, play along features and the best upgrade is the cloning. Now when I travel I actually have all the channels of my High Gain amp that I do not find in any modeler without bringing the amp. It's really close. So close, I doubt most would notice the difference. Then put it in a live mix and I am very happy with the ease and completeness of the Prime. It's well worth every penny.

My first Headrush product was the MX5. Although I love that unit, I was wanting more foot switches. That led me to buy the Headrush Prime. This unit is huge! For me it's great because it just stays in my man cave ready to go. I am not super big on the stock tones, however once starting to edit I am finding the tones I want, now with plenty of foot switches! Recently bought the Headrush frfr 112 to pair with the prime and am loving this set up!

Sure. It's not a matter of hardware. The pedal will process just about any line level signal put into it. It's capable of several fx at a time.

Does it fit to HeadRush bag? I know HeadRush Pedalboard fits to it but not sure about Prime one since this one is a little bit bigger than Pedalboard according to the dimension.
