Comments about Hal Leonard '70s Funk and Disco Bass (Book/Online Audio):
After being away from the bass for a number of years I was given a bass and decided to start playing again. I ordered this to brush up on some of the riffs. I was a little disappointed because the riffs are very short in duration (not enough time to really practice them)not what I would call full demo tracks. When I tried to download the CD to my I-pod all the titles are in Chinese or Japanese and are not readable to select specific riffs. The riffs are ok, but do not seem to be from any actual songs just done in a funk style. I would give this a pass but order the FUNK BASS BIBLE (if you can find it) instead and just practice along with the original songs you have recorded yourself, it is a much better workout and a lot more fun.
