The Gretsch G9520 Jim Dandy Flat Top acoustic guitar offers musicians a vintage-inspired parlor guitar packed with features for songwriting, practice and performance. Gretsch has reimagined the popular Rex parlor guitars of the 1940s and '50s, updating the Jim Dandy Flat Top's style with a sleek black finish while retaining its classic acoustic sound. Despite its compact size, the Jim Dandy Flat Top produces warm, resonant tones with pronounced bass response that are ideal for fingerpicking or strumming.

Agathis Body Provides Full, Balanced Tone

The Jim Dandy's agathis body creates an acoustic voice with depth and clarity. Its agathis top is braced with an X-brace pattern that allows the top to vibrate freely, resulting in a lively tone with rich overtones. The body's small size helps to focus and project the guitar's sound, giving it a robust voice that belies its diminutive dimensions.

Smooth-Playing Neck and Fingerboard

The Jim Dandy's nato neck has a comfortable C-shaped profile and joins the body at the 12th fret, providing easy access to higher notes. Its rosewood fingerboard has vintage-style frets and pearloid dot inlays for a traditional look. A dual-action truss rod allows players to adjust the neck relief to suit their preferences or compensate for changes in humidity.

Appealing Vintage-Inspired Aesthetics

With its 12-fret parlor-sized body, slotted headstock, and nickel hardware, the Jim Dandy has an undeniably vintage vibe. The guitar's white body binding, rosette, and pickguard provide contrast to its black finish. Open-gear tuners on the Gretsch-branded headstock allow for smooth and accurate tuning. Overall, the Jim Dandy has a sleek and stylish appearance that complements its classic acoustic tone.
