Comments about Gibson Warren Haynes 1961 ES-335:
I hopefully will be lucky enough to own this masterpiece of a guitar in the near future, but I did play this guitar many times at my local GC. The first thing i noticed when i started playing it was the neck!! MY GAWWWDDDD! The best feeling neck Ive ever played with a guitar (fender, gibson, ibanez...) The neck that this guitar has is not a specific neck like 50s round neck or 60s slim tapper necks....no....this is a no name custom neck that ONLY THIS GUITAR HAS!! No other guitar has it. Is it similar to another neck? YES! If i had to say this neck is closest to 60s slim tapper necks. This makes sense because this is a recreation of Warren Haynes 1961 ES 335. Honestly i could talk about this neck forever but I'm gonna stop here. Go try it yourself. Next in line, the PICKUPS (Custom BurstBuckers 1 & 2). These pickups sound AMAZING with the semi hollowbody!! It has the right amount of "bite" for lead playing and for cleans Jazz and Blues all day everyday! And what really makes this guitar cool is that the chrome hardware is "brushed". So it has a faded chrome look. VERY VINTAGE. And of course all the other features are amazing that just add to this amazing guitar. Rosewood fretboard looks stunning, the body is very comfortable, easy access to the upper register of the fretboard. The Vintage Kluson tuners have great tuning stability (for gibsons), and the color is SO CLASSIC and CLASSY for a 335. I'd seriously recommend this to any player who wants a high quality, comfortable, and amazing sounding guitar!! Little pricey but TOTALLY worth it! Exceeded my expectations by a mile!! Happy shopping! hahaha
