Overview

The Les Paul Studio Deluxe T Electric Guitar raises the bar with the Super '57 and Classic '57 humbucking pickups, which are mounted on a carved maple top with a mahogany back. Both pickups offer coil splitting for single-coil sounds and a boost circuit via push/push switching in the volume controls. Straight Split coil-splitting offers pure single coil tone and differs from LP Standards and Studios that have a Super Tap coil-tap, which still has a small amount of humbucking.

The boost circuit has a user-adjustable 10-dB boost for added power and frequency range for solos, single-note picking and dirty chording (depending on amp settings) and features true bypass that disengages the boost completely, ensuring pure passive Les Paul tone.

The Les Paul Studio Deluxe features a traditional-spec SlimTaper '60s neck that offers a comfortable playing experience for which Les Paul models of that era are famous. The hardware is finished in chrome including Gibson's pioneering tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. The Les Paul Studio Deluxe is dependable, affordable, and is built without any compromises.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Deluxe T Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar for practicing, but it is a gorgeous instrument that can be used at any gig, large or small. The guitar is beautiful from it's amazing tone and versatile sound with push/push coil splitting pots to the gorgeous nitrocellulose finish and, of course, classic Gibson design, workmanship and manufacturing.

Disappointed in the finish when comparing online photos

Comments about Les Paul Studio Deluxe T Electric Guitar:

I was immediately disappointed in the finish. The online photos on Guitar Center's web site has a much lighter blue finish in the photos when compared to the actual dark blue finish on the guitar. Also, the maple top has bookmatched veneers. The web site does not sate this. The finish is drastically different on one side of the guitar compared with the other side. Also, the photos online show a lighter blue finish on the back of the guitar that you can see a little bit of the wood grain. But in actuality, you can't see any wood grain on the back at all because the dark blue finish is so dark that it's opaque. Not able to see ANY wood grain finish. I'm returning this guitar.

Guitar Center quailty control is non existent

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Deluxe T Electric Guitar:

Ordered on 10/4 and received on 10/10 and thats where the good ends with my order. Once received, i did my normal look over only to find a 3 inch crack im the neck of the guitar. Apparently no one takes the time ro even glance at an item before they ship it. So then a call to support to start the exchange process only to not have the return label to arive in my email. Guitar center has really let me down on this one.

Im sure the guitar itself is great if yoy get one in good shape...but now i have to contact support again and hope they get it right on the next time around.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Deluxe T Electric Guitar:

I tried to write this review 2 years ago when it was on sale, but they did not post it. The guitar I received came with dings and and scratched on the headstock along with vintage tuners instead of the ones shown in the picture. The pickups were very badly wrapped with the protective tape and the knobs were not on straight. One in particular is hard to turn even after using it for 2 years. The frets were very rough out of the case on the edges and needed sanding. Other than that, the guitar itself works perfectly. Heavier strings make it sound even better. I found out however that if you use lighter strings it gives it an undesirable twang almost like a banjo. Paint finish is slightly darker than what is suggested in the photos, but still looks nice. For the price, if I could choose again, I would have bought a strat. Just don't buy it if you're a first time player. Opt for something cheaper and you'll thank me later. I would only recommend this to someone if they've been playing for a while and are looking for a quality les Paul Tone that is comfortable to play.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Deluxe T Electric Guitar:

I was looking for a replacement Les Paul as I am retiring my 59 Les Paul to a wall mounted display and this fit the bill perfectly! The price was definitely right and the service that I receive at the Killeen Tx. Guitar Center is above and beyond by all of the employees.
