Comments about Gibson 2017 J-15 Slope Shoulder Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I love this guitar. I am a former taylor player. I never knew a guitar could have such great bass response while still remaining bright and clear. This guitar sounds wonderful unplugged and through a PA. My only gripe is that I had to buy a strap thing that compensated for no strap peg. Otherwise this guitar sounds as good as a 45 at a good price (for a Gibson ;) ) I thought the lack of eq control would be annoying BUT the L.R. Bagg on this thing is magnificent. The fretboard on the 2017 is far superior to the 2016. The 16 was sharp and painful while the 17 is smooth and comfortable. The neck feels like a slim tapered 60s Gibson neck. Gibson did a great job upgrading the qc of the 2017 j-15s.

Comments about Gibson 2017 J-15 Slope Shoulder Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar has a big voice and a long sustain, sweet, was kind of skeptical until I tried it in the store, I once owned a high end 5 string banjo with a walnut pot with a sound that I liked very much at first but not so much after a while but this walnut guitar has found a permanent home, my son who is a more experienced guitar player then I could not put it down and he owns several high end guitars with big price tags, I had been looking for a new Martin but happy I decided to give the Gibson a try. Really not to crazy about the looks of the walnut fret board and bridge, they both work well but wish they had a more polished look, the walnut back and sides have beauty beyond compare, J15 is a keeper.
