Comments about Gibson 2016 ES-335 Studio Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

Really disappointed in this guitar - the build quality is not up to Gibson standards. Fretwork on the one that I played was sub-par, finish was thick and uneven, overall the guitar felt more cheaply made than instruments coming out of Korea at the same or lower price points.

Comments about Gibson 2016 ES-335 Studio Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

Es335 lives up,to its name. As mentioned the frets along the neck are raised and need to be less abrasive
    Tone and neck are perfect.

Comments about Gibson 2016 ES-335 Studio Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I bought a 2017 on sale (new) at GC. For the $ I paid for (several hundred under list) it can't be beat. Setup was great out of the box, though I may adjust the height a tad and play with pup heights. I find the fretwork very acceptable. The neck profile is comfy for my short fingers, the classic 57 neck, and 57plus bridge are perfect. The finish (ginger burst) is great, though I wish the cherry had been on sale. The case is good, but made in Canada. Vol & tone knobs are very good. Overall very satisfied.

Comments about Gibson 2016 ES-335 Studio Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

This Model provides an excellent performance. The classic 57s in the neck and Bridge flesh out quite nicely. The finish is nice as well but rather a 57 plus should have been placed in the bridge for an even better bite.

Comments about Gibson 2016 ES-335 Studio Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I have a few 335's from various years, but Kudos to Gibson Memphis on this 335 Studio. I finally had a chance to put these through their paces after set up. Despite Gibson's financial woes and quality issues with Les Paul's, these 335's are some of the best Gibson's I have played since 2010.

Putting looks aside from a a Figured Top I favor the ES 335 Studio. The slightly over wound 57 humbucker in the rear smokes while the front 57 humbucker is one of the thickest & warmest I have ever played. Together they are well balanced. The all maple body with the maple fret board adds plenty of spank that is controllable by rolling back the tone pots. The Ginger Burst is also a welcome addition to the product line. It pops under lighting. All that being said I give these instruments .

        Yes.

Comments about Gibson 2016 ES-335 Studio Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

To those crying about quality go play a fender. Also, most of these guitars are just to much instrument for most players. These guitars aren't built so they make someone sound good. Make a cheep guitar sound good then pick this up. Its like putting a beginner driver behind the wheel of a Porsche. Don't blame this guitar for not being able to play.

Comments about Gibson 2016 ES-335 Studio Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I always wanted a 335 for that signature jazz and blues sound, but I wasn't ever going to spend north of two grand to get there. The special ones nobody will ever sell, so what's left is near or above $3,000 to get there. I walked into a GC in Seattle and pulled this guitar off the wall and plugged it into a Friedman Lunchbox running dry thru a 212 cab. Immediately, I remembered a bunch of jazz chords and diminished runs. BUTTER is the best word to describe playing this guitar. Steak, bread, Caesar salad, clam chowder, then BUTTER it will be after my local luthier finishes it and its playing through my studio w/d/w rig.

57 pups will allow for good tone in every style of music, but this guitar sounds GREAT playing the clean stuff!
