The historic 1964 ES-335 Electric Guitar is back in this stunningly accurate reissue from Gibson Custom Shop. Every aspect of the original instrument has been meticulously recreated to deliver a playing experience that brings back the early days of rock n’ roll. Very lightly aged for added vintage appeal by the skilled artisans at Murphy Lab, the Gibson ES-335 features a Medium C mahogany neck, sharp horn cutaways and vintage-style nickel tuners. Equipped with a pair of Custombucker Alnico III pickups, this Gibson Custom reissue is identical to the original mid-‘60s ES-335 both inside and out. Available now at Guitar Center, the 1964 ES-335 electric guitar offers the tone, look and feel of classic rock.

Classic Construction

A 3-ply maple/poplar/maple semi-hollow body combines the personality of a hollowbody with the benefits of a solid body electric. Superior sustain and pure tone are front and center in this Gibson 1964 ressiue, further enhanced by the rich character and enhanced depth provided by natural, acoustic resonance.

Classic Neck Specs

This throwback to the 1964 Gibson ES-335 will delight fans of vintage electric guitar for its spot-on look and feel. Small block inlays and vintage-replica parts adorn a smooth Indian Rosewood fingerboard. The Medium C neck profile allows for hours of playing without hand fatigue.

This ES-335 Gibson Reissue is loaded with dual CustomBuckers. Packed with power and legendary tone, they’re made with alnico III magnets and are unpotted for historical accuracy. These timeless pickups are perfect for everything from country licks to blistering rock riffs.

Authentically-Aged Finish

Tom Murphy was instrumental in setting up the Gibson Custom Shop. For the last 25 years, he’s perfected the art and science of aging instruments. Murphy’s team gives this ES-335 a very lightly aged finish—only the lightest touches are utilized. You’ll see unique lacquer checking with minimal playing wear. The Gibson Custom Murphy Lab 1964 ES-335 comes with a certificate of authenticity and an aged brown and pink Lifton reissue 5-latch hard case.
