Description
The Gibson Custom 1957 Les Paul Custom Reissue VOS is a meticulously crafted recreation of an iconic vintage model. With a VOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish, solid mahogany body and ebony fingerboard, this guitar authentically captures the look and sound of a 1950s original. At the same time, it offers modern playability and reliability, making it ideal for musicians seeking a blend of vintage style and contemporary performance.
VOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish recreates a vintage aesthetic.
The VOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish chemically ages the guitar's appearance, giving it a patina reminiscent of a well-loved original from the 1950s. The finish will continue to naturally age and relic over time, developing unique dings and weathering that reflect your personal playing style. The authentic-looking finish creates an instrument with instant vintage mojo that sounds as good as it looks.
Solid mahogany body for rich, warm tone.
The guitar's single-piece solid mahogany body produces a rich, warm tone with emphasized midrange frequencies. Mahogany's dense grain helps produce sustain and a resonance that lingers when notes fade. The body's wood also contributes to an instrument with a comfortable playing weight that balances well on your lap or strap.
Ebony fingerboard for clarity and sustain.
The ebony fingerboard adds clarity, focus and sustain to your playing. Ebony is an extremely dense wood that effectively transmits string vibration to the guitar's body. It has a smooth, fast feel that enables intricate solos and effortless string bending. The fingerboard provides 22 medium-jumbo frets for a familiar playing experience.
Two CustomBucker Alnico III humbucking pickups for vintage-inspired sound.
The guitar features a CustomBucker Alnico III humbucker in the bridge and neck positions. Alnico III magnets and calibrated bobbin windings produce a warm, rounded tone reminiscent of original PAF humbuckers. The pickups have definition and clarity that cuts through a mix while also providing a hint of grit when overdriven. They enable a versatile range of vintage and modern tones from clean to distorted.

Years ago we wanted to look at 3 different guitars that were not in stock in the store. The store counts not order them without purchase. So , I literally ordered all 3 , had all 3 sent to the store , when all 3 were in the store we went and tried them all out. We told them we were only taking one of the 3 and wanted to make sure I would be refunded in full for the guitars I did not take. These were all very expensive guitars. If I ordered 2 and paid for them and sent them to the store, could I do the same thing ?
We can send your order to a local store, yessubmitted6 years ago

Is this a guitar made in 1957 or not? Your ad is very misleading. This info should have been made clear right away.
This is a reissue that follows the specifications of the 1957. It was made within the last 3 years, just with classic design.
