1963 Gibson ES335 CS Reissue

By 335Guy

from Sydney

Comments about Gibson Custom 1963 ES-335 Historic Block Reissue Electric Guitar:

Well, I flashed when I saw this. And it is a nice guitar - but I would have expected proper MOP inlays at this price (not plastic) and burstbuckers instead of the 59's which to me lack the original Patent No humbucker sound. It is not 100% historically accurate, I have an original 62 but is close. The quality control on the finish is OK, I think ageing will help.

Absolutely amazing!

Comments about Gibson Custom 1963 ES-335 Historic Block Reissue Electric Guitar:

This historic reissue of the 1963 ES-335 is incredible! The sound is so beautiful, and the look and feel of the guitar are beyond words. If you are looking for a guitar you will instantly fall in love with, this is the one for you. I actually owned an original ES-335 in the mid-1960's, and I unfortunately had to sell it a few years later to pay for school. No guitar I have ever owned since even held a candle to it. When I saw that Gibson's custom shop was selling a reissue of it, I had to have it. From everything I can tell, it is an exact recreation. The perfect guitar, at least for me! Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

The perfect guitar?

By Jerry Armstrong

from Topeka, Ks.

Comments about Gibson Custom 1963 ES-335 Historic Block Reissue Electric Guitar:

I also owned an original 335 in the mid-60s and sold it when I was in college. Since then I've owned a couple dozen really nice guitars(all American made)but when I took delivery of my new 1963 335 re-issue it was like I had finally found the perfect guitar! It plays and sounds better than anything I have held since I sold my first one 40 years ago. It simply doesn't get any better than this!
