      Stand is very stable and well built, but was very disappointed to discover that the male and female clutch threads are plastic. Even with extreme caution and care when adjusting, its not a matter of will the clutch fail, but when. If your going to be frequently adjusting mic height, you may want to opt for a higher end stand.
