Comments about Friedman Motor City Drive 12AX7 Tube Overdrive Pedal:
I have never been satisfied with transistor sounds. I've bought many top end pedals. I've spent a lot of money. I've modded transistor pedals chasing tone. The Friedman Motor City Drive is the only one that delivers what I have searched for. It is versatile. I can get sounds from Bernie Leadon to Bob Mould. The sounds I get from it easily rivals my modded JMP-1. I am a gigging musician who needs a wide variety of overdrive sounds. I've found the pedal that will handle natural, organic tube sounds good unlike any other. It doesn't do everything, but it is the best pedal for doing what an entire hard rock rig needs to do.
