Focusrite

Description

The Focusrite Scarlett 18i16 4th Gen 18x16 USB-C audio interface provides a powerful yet intuitive studio solution for any serious musician. With 18 inputs and 16 outputs, you have ample connectivity for all of your outboard gear and monitoring equipment. The redesigned audio circuitry includes professional-grade 24-bit/192kHz converters for pristine audio quality and an impressive 122dB of dynamic range to capture everything from the subtlest nuance to the loudest peaks.

Premium Preamps for Dynamic Performances

The fourth-generation preamps offer an impressive 69dB of gain to capture dynamic performances with clarity. Whether you're recording vocals or acoustic instruments, the preamps provide a clean gain boost without adding coloration. With eight analog inputs including two Hi-Z instrument inputs, you have flexibility for any recording situation.

Innovative Features

The Scarlett 18i16 includes several innovative features to help you shape your sound. Reengineered Air mode adds musical presence and rich harmonic overtones to vocals and acoustic instruments. Clip safe checks your levels 96,000 times per second to avoid clipping and ensure you never lose a take.

Auto Gain: Work faster

Designed to assist engineers of all levels, Auto Gain sets the optimal recording levels for any inputs in just a few seconds, getting you ready to record in moments. For more complex setups, multi-channel Auto Gain adjusts levels for multiple microphones, either directly on the interface or through the Focusrite Control 2 mobile and desktop applications.

Take Control With Desktop and Mobile Apps

The included Focusrite Control desktop software and iOS/Android apps provide intuitive control over routing, monitoring and other interface functions. Easily manage mixes and preamp gains from anywhere in the studio. When recording live performances, the apps enable engineers and performers to adjust levels remotely for efficient workflow.

Includes Essential Production Software

The Scarlett 18i16 4th Gen comes with a suite of production tools to compose, record, mix and master your music. Ableton Live Lite provides an easy start, while a three-month Pro Tools subscription gives you a professional DAW. You also get exclusive plug-ins, sample packs and more from Focusrite's Plug-in Collective. With the Scarlett 18i16 interface and included software, you have a complete solution for creating studio-quality recordings.

Easy Control With Desktop and Mobile App

Use the software, Focusrite Control 2, to manage routing and levels, monitor mixes and control other features of Scarlett 18i16. The desktop software, plus apps for iOS and Android, enable engineers and performers to adjust monitor mixes and multiple mic pre gains remotely—especially useful in live rooms.
