Description

The Floyd Rose Special Series Locking Nut R-3 is an Authentic version of a licensed Floyd Rose tremolo system manufactured in Korea exclusively for Floyd Rose. The Floyd Rose Special maintains the construction parameters and features of an Original Floyd Rose, while utilizing zinc alloy saddles in place of steel and a zinc alloy sustain block in place of brass. The design specifications and high quality materials of the Special Series Floyd Rose bridge will hold up to the demands of today's performers.

The R3 Nut is designed for guitars with neck widths of 1-11/16" (42.90mm) and a 10" radius.

Pretty Good

I got this bridge with my Epiphone Les Paul Plus Top PRO/FX. It is a pretty good bridge and take a beating with dive bombs. The problems are that it doesn't like to stay in tune much with pulling up on the bar and as many others have said, the whammy bar has a bit of space in its mounting hole which causes a dreadful buzz at point but at least its not heard through your amp. Also, the sustain block isnt really to my liking. It looks very cheap and doesn't add too much to the guitar. I would purchasing a Floyd Upgrades Big Brass Block for it. its cheap and it works wonders. Ive Had this for about 6 months now and it holds up pretty well but in the long run i would upgrade to a floyd rose original or a Floyd Upgrades High Performance bridge if you can afford it. Thats what I'm doing. But if you are a beginner or on a budget, the Floyd Rose Special is the way to go.

Not for ESP LTD guitars

Its an alright set, stays in tune pretty well, alot better than a licensed floyd, but the parts are NOT made to fit ESP LTD guitars, specifically the LTD MH100QM. Tried both the one with R2 and the one with R3 and the R3 is too big, R2 is too small, and the bridge that came with the R2 has a big gap on the left side between the wood and bridge. Fine tuners are a bit tight at first. The post that the bar goes into comes loose alot as well so you will be tightening the screw often in the beginning. I will eventually be upgrading to the original, but this will do for now.

    Ordered this bridge to put in a custom build. I found that it is a good bridge and holds tuning well. Most def order it with the nut otherwise they get quite pricey

    If you don't have experience with these tremolos, don't put them in yourself. The locking nut is tricky. This tremolo works really well for the old Eddie Van Halen type of playing. I love it. No use in paying big money when this one does the job for way less.
