So glad I took the chance on this amp. It's classic fender cleans combined with the very usable Burn channel. It's way more than I expected! I am having so much fun with this amp pushing my Marshall JCM800 2x12 cab. Did I mention that it is LOUD? Don't forget the effects loop too Fender nailed it on this one. Crystal clean, classic rock to heavy riffs, this amp really can do it.
Too early to tell, but......

Use at Church with the clean channel, using an attenuator I get a platform for my pedal boards. Nice to get amp cover and footswitch included .
Versatile but rattly

Very versatile amp. Can go from sparkly clean to edge of break up to nice overdrive to near fuzz distortion. And the dirty channel isn't a one trick pony either with an interesting mixture of 2 gain knobs. Would have been neat if the footswitch wasn't so proprietary or so big. Also the output transformer is pretty rattly out of the box and can be audible over the cabinet when playing quietly.

I previously owned the Supersonic Twin Combo...was a fine amp but it was WAY TOO LOUD. I bought an attenuator but lost some clarity. This 2021 model Supersonic 22 head that I have now paired with the Supersonic 2x12 cabinet sounds totally stellar. The clean is SO PLEASANT to play. The two gain controls really allow one to fine tune the Burn Channel. I do wish it had some of the features that the 100 did though. Like the mid-shift freq control for the mids adjustment. I also wish it had Pre and Post volume adjustment for the effects loop. Looking at the schematic, it appears that the SEND level actually varies based on the volume you are running the amplifier at! Other than that it has really charmed it's way into my man cave. I'm playing a Les Paul Custom with Seymour Phat Cats in it and it sounds fantastic!!!
More versatile than Deluxe Reverb

I used a Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue combo amp for many years. The Vintage channel of the Super Sonic produces that sound but a bit warmer and has a FAT switch. The Burn channel is very versatile from subtle overdrive to distortion. Much better drive sound than on Hot Rod series. This is not harsh or jagged sounding. Great quality reverb also. No vibrato/tremolo which I rarely used, and I can get from a pedal. Effects loop is a good feature, too.

Yes, the FX loop on the Fender Super-Sonic 22 (22W tube amp) is wired in series, not parallel.submitted3 years ago

2 questions. In the manual it says a speaker must always be connected to the internal speaker output on the back but I'm assuming this is speaking about the combo. Which output do I connect my speaker cabinet to. And is a 16ohm speaker cab ok?
Connect it to the Internal jack. 16 ohms is fine. It will take two 16 ohm loads for a total of 8submitted3 years ago
