It's about time. European guitarists have been using "Grohlsh Beer" pint bottle rubber washers to secure their guitar straps for decades. These are a good take on that notion. I really like using Fender Strap Blocks as opposed to switching the strap buttons to the locking types that are on the market ie - Schaller, Dunlop etc... I just wish Fender would make them more durable as I have had some dry out and some split. I suppose what I'm trying to say is I wish they lasted longer. I have bought at least (6) packs since Fender put these out. I shouldn't have to keep buying new ones this frequently.

i had been using schaller locks for years. they have their issues. always have to tighten the strap button, having to add a lock washer to the lock on the strap so it doesn't come loose, the lock button likes to pop off..... and the do wear out eventually. i have a set that is 26yrs old. So, price is always a factor. These hit the mark. However, red and black in the package? i think i speak for alot of people, that the red is just wasteful. both sets should be black. pro tip - hit the hardware store. you can find these for about 50 cents each or less.

I just bought a new bass and did not want to screw in the strap locks like I did on my guitar. I've tried jumping around and moving while playing and it works great. My strap is an ernie ball and i have a fender bass(heavy)

Hesitating to contradict a bunch of people, but something NEEDS mentioning. These are semi-permanent strap locks. You have to use a screwdriver to take off the strap lock? That's crazy. Like many who bought these Fender strap locks (i.e., a washer...), I did not want to start screwing things into my guitar. Years ago, my bass player gave me a set that just slip over an existing guitar strap base. Alas, I can not find them or an equivalent anywhere. But, as a solution, these Fender "washers" are absurd. NONE of my guitars, electric nor acoustic, fit well into a case with the strap on. And, these strap locks (again, essentially washers) keep the strap on. Do you really want a strap lock that needs a screwdriver to come off? Finally, you take that screw out a few times and it IS going to affect the integrity of the hole into which that screw is placed. This soution is nuts.

These easy to use locks by Fender are great for those of us who stand a lot while playing. I have used these on all of my guitars throughout the years because the use of tools is not needed to install. Highly recommended.

These are just the ticket for keeping your strap fixed to your guitar. They are inexpensive and very easy to use--both easy to put on and to take off, but very secure. Why pay more when these little gems will do the job?

I bought these mostly for the bassist in the band because his strap was so ragged that he kept dropping his instrument....and was not looking like he was goin to buy a new strap anytime soon. I handed him some of these and he hasn't even dropped the beat :) cheaper alternative to a new strap. I think it's worth having them in the tool/gear box.

these work great.,i used these over the strap pins and you cant make them come off.i don't like regular strap locks( they look ugly,stick out too far,dont trust them from popping off).these are $3.99 for set of 4.,these are the only strap securing device I will use from now on.try it,you will like it.

Got tired of the Dunlop and Schaller strap locks, they both rattled, and the way they stick out so far before they connect to the strap made them continually dig out my strap horns (making me do the toothpick and glue in hole trick too many times). I put these on all my guitars and basses. They do not work on the standard Rickenbacker 4003 horns, but Gibson (Les Paul) and Fenders (P, J bass and Strat), they fit perfect. This is my go to option for strap locks from now on.

I got these to use on my Epiphone Riviera hollow-body guitar. The strap peg is on the back side of the body behind the neck and I was always concerned that the strap would pull off. With one of these rubber locks installed, I have confidence that my strap is secure.

These are perfect. They keep the strap on my guitar on even when I'm being careless. They even look like they aree part of the strap.

Before ultimately installing Loxx straps locks I used these on my Godin Ultra A6 with a suede Paul Reed strap. The A6 strap posts are tall enough to accommodate the strap plus the strap blocks. When installing them, be sure that the inner edge that's up against the post is oriented towards the guitar or it will 'pop off.' Nice temporary solution.

i love these strap blocks!! they work great for me. just $4.00 and you u have enough for 2 guitars. they hold my guitars without any problems. they fit tight and you will love how secure you feel playing with these on your expensive guitar. i make sure they are on all the way and i am totally confident playing out or in the studio. best thing to come along in a long time!! to me it beats $20.00 for one pair of the metal ones. to finish this review i want say that you have to muscle these things off your guitar. so whats that tell you!!

I just bought these and put them on in about one minute ... if you can't figure out how to use this product, I think it is amazing you can play an instrument!!! I would rather replace these every once in a while than to screw up the "screw holes " in my guitar! I bought an SG which has the upper strap knob on the back of the body. If I were to use those big metal locking systems, that lock would be digging into my stomach and or hip!!! These blocks seam to be the perfect alternative. And as for the color, I am lucky enough to hide the red one behind the guitar, (not that anybody really cares about a little rubber washer on the strap of my instrument). I recommend them but of coarse it's all up to you to make the decision.

They work on everything and I don't have to worry if I brought the right strap for the guitar. Not as secure as Straplocks but much more flexible and easy to make changes on the road. I will be heading this way in the future.
