The Rumble 200 bass combo amp from Fender is here to shake up the competition. Packing a hefty 200W of pure muscle into a stylish yet remarkably compact and lightweight package, the Rumble 200 combo is built to thrill bassists of all levels. Don't be fooled by its diminutive size—the Rumble 200 drives a massive 15" Eminence speaker and compression horn to deliver seismic low end and crisp highs, letting your notes thunder. It features an aux input, headphone output, XLR line out, FX loop and three-band EQ.

Footswitchable Overdrive Adds Aggression on Command

Need to add some grit for a rocking solo or extra aggression in the chorus? The Rumble 200's built-in overdrive circuit has you covered. Activate the overdrive with the optional footswitch for instant distortion when you need it and switch it off just as easily. From subtle warmth to all-out overdrive, the Rumble 200's overdrive provides tonal flexibility for any genre or style.

Three-Button Voicing Provides Tonal Options

Shape your tone to perfection with the Rumble 200's three-button voicing section. Choose from Bright to add extra treble sizzle, Contour for boosted low end or Vintage for a classic bass tone with rich lows and vintage warmth. Find your signature sound or switch between voicings on the fly for maximum versatility.

Stylish Looks Meet Premium Components

Fender's legendary style and build quality are on full display in the Rumble 200. A stylish black enclosure with silver grille cloth houses premium components like an Eminence 15" speaker, compression horn and durable plywood cabinet construction. It looks as good as it sounds, with a vintage-inspired design and Fender badge that will make a statement on any stage.

Practice and Play with Headphone and Aux Inputs

Though built for performance, the Rumble 200 also aids practice and rehearsal. A headphone output lets you rock late into the night without disturbing others, while an aux input allows you to play along to backing tracks or drum beats from an MP3 player, laptop or other device.

Can't Go Wrong

I've owned this little amp for about two months now having bought it in a panic when my small venue amp gave out. My first gig with it was a mid-sized blues/jazz venue. The band had two horns, guitar, and keyboards. And despite getting kind of rowdy on a few tunes, I was amazed that I never had to crank the volume up. It was steady, responsive and very impressive. The sound is amazingly vintage Fender bass. There's even a "vintage" (and contour and bright) button that is supposed to, I assume, enhance the Fender sound. But I found these buttons a bit annoying as they do little more than give you options that quite frankly were a little weak, in my opinion. What I found to be the true heart and soul of Rumble 200 is the equalization - bass, low mid, high mid, and treble. They're rotary dials with indents at the six o'clock position. Rather than nipping away adding to the bass or treble frequencies, these mid settings actually do dial in their frequencies to such an exacting state that they truly give you the ability to dial in wide array of sounds. Turn the bass dial to nine o'clock, and the low-mid to three and be prepared to say wow. Or dial in the overdrive "channel." on neutral EQ but with a bump in the hid-mid. Yikes! The Rumble 200 brought a whole new experience to my fretless bass. I could get as much or as little "growl" as I wanted without having to give up a fine deep tone. The upper registers are exacting, brilliant and clear as a bell. And on the fretted bass, the bottom end was a true note-for-note reproduction of that buttery "Fender bass" sound rather than muddy cover up like get with a lot of smaller amps. And again the highs were amazingly clear and brilliant. I've never used overdrive, not my style. But this amp has started to change my mind. The 200 offers a what they call an overdrive circuit which for all intents and purposes is a second channel (footswitch) which I've got to tell you is a gas to play with; it's just way too much fun to ignore. Add in all the expected extras like FX loop, speaker out, (but you won't need an extra cab with the onboard 15 in Eminence,) XLR out, mini-plug auxiliary in and headphones out, and at 35 lbs and the price you just can't go wrong because, in my opinion, Fender got this right.

6 Years Later...

Bought in 2016. Have been using it on average a couple/few times a month for practice and performing, so it has not been overused. Always stored indoors. No spills or drops. No sound yesterday. Probably the jack or master volume pot, but as infrequently as I've used it, this is disappointing. Just got a Music Man Stingray Special last February, and I don't think the Rumble does the Stingray justice (after plugging into a 70's era Peavey 4x15 running thru a straight amp with no effects, the Stingray sound came alive).

This amp has more than enough power for small gigs. The 15 inch speaker allows for a lot of dynamic range, but is still lite enough to carry around. I would definitely recommend this amp for any bassist starting out. #sweepstakes

I bought this amp on "urgent need" basis as a band needed a bass player and asked me to fill in. There was a bass and amp for me to use but I decided to put a bass package back into my inventory so I bought the Fender Player (MIM) Jazz bass and Fender Rumble 200 amp. The Amp sounds fantastic; it has several different sound selections, including an overdrive selection that gives a vintage tube driven bass amp sound. For the money it is the best buy I could find. Though it is made in Indonesia I am willing to spend the money because IT IS NOT MADE IN CHINA. I refuse to buy music gear from China.

I bought my first amp (Ampeg B15) in 1960. I've played thu them all (Fender bassmen, Sunn 2000 w/double JBL 140 cabnits, Kustom, Berhinger, Carvin etc for the last 64 years. Traveled the world hauling big equipment which I now sold. I got this Rumble 200 last summer (2023) and have played all size venues. If the 145 wt./15" isnt enough I add my Carvin 12" to boost it to 200 watts. It's clean with punch thru boom with my 4 0r 5 string bass. I'm impressed and enjoy the sound. Best part 37 pounds.

Great amp with lots of features and good tone. Like other reviews, the power amp died and there's no sound to the speaker. I'd skip this as a long term amp. Short term, use it and sell it before the warranty expires so you don't get stuck with brick later. These aren't serviceable.

Can you recommend a "retro looking" (like Acoustic A1000 Guitar amp) 100-200 watt bass combo amp to use with an upright string bass? I have a Fender Rumble 40 and want something with more power. Thanks

We would need to appraise it before we can give you an amount. Bring it by one of your local stores and we can get you taken care of.
