The Fender Player Plus Nashville Telecaster offers pro performance without the pro price. It combines the best of two worlds with a pair of Tele pickups surrounding a Strat single coil. Fully noiseless, they're geared equally for the studio and live performance. Classic Design
The utilitarian design of the Telecaster has withstood the test of time. On the Player Plus Nashville Tele, the body is alder, a tonewood that Fender has employed since 1956. Resonant with a balanced sound, it provides a perfect platform for the pickups to shine.Noiseless Pickups
It was likely a Nashville studio cat who first came up with the idea of adding a Strat pickup to a Telecaster. The idea makes a lot of sense, especially for those that need a little versatility in their instrument. On the Player Plus, all three pickups are Noiseless Gen 4 single coils. Wound with Alnico V magnets, they're high output, too. You'll get classic Tele tones out of the neck and bridge, and signature Strat quack out of the middle. Thankfully, there's a 5-way selector for maximum sonic exploration; the push/push tone pot also adds the neck pickup to positions one and two.A Neck That Stands Out
The neck on the Nashville Telecaster deserves special recognition. It has a Modern C shape or "flattened oval" profile that's more ergonomic than others. Rolled fretboard edges give it a worn-in-feel. Unusual for a Tele, the fretboard has a 12" radius, making it easier to bend strings without fretting out.Updated Hardware
Once you've experienced locking tuners, you'll never want to go back. To change strings on the Player Plus Nashville Telecaster, just thread each string, lock, cut and tune it up. The six-saddle bridge offers more precise intonation than on a traditional Tele.
