Comments about Fender FA-135CE Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar as I transitioned from beginner to intermediate. It's a great guitar for practicing and playing in small venues. I would recommend medium strings for this guitar. When I become an expert I will buy a Martin or Taylor guitar. In the meantime I will continue to use this guitar for my worship service. I never would expect this quality of guitar from Yamaha. I am very impressed with the quality for the price. I would recommend this guitar to every beginner and intermediate guitar player.

It;s a kids guitar. Action horrible, made shabby. I already sold it to a friend for his 8year old for $100.

Comments about Fender FA-135CE Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Amazingly nice guitar FOR THE PRICE. I bought it for use at the cottage, so I didn't have to lug the Taylor along. At first I thought I was going to return it, because the battery pocket wouldn't stay closed. However, I discovered that by pushing the battery towards the pocket hinge, it clicked in place. Then the cover would click and hold the battery in place. I'd do it again.

Comments about Fender FA-135CE Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I'll state first that this is a very nice looking guitar, and very, very light. What initially sold me on this particular guitar was not only the price, but the Fender name, and Fishman preamp system. I took it home and let it acclimate to my studio for a couple of days. On the third day I put it through it's paces, and ended up returning it. First, I understand that this is a 'beginner' guitar, and it was bought as something just to pick ideas out on, but the quality control for this instrument is subpar. There were inconsistent dot markers on the fret board and visible glue on the tone hole. However, the sound un-amplified was good, and remarkably the intonation was very close right out of the box. Before plugging it into an amplifier, I noticed the tuner had a problem picking up the D and G strings. You really had to dig in to get it to get it to respond to those two strings. I decided to plug it into an amplifier and this showed more problems. The D & G strings barely had any volume at all. I checked to make sure I had all settings flat on the amplifier and the guitar, and still had the same problems. I then plugged it into my audio interface and verified that the output was indeed inconsistent. So, back to the store it went.

Comments about Fender FA-135CE Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've been playing guitar for over 50 years and used to be a professional musician. I'm very pleased with this little guitar. I have a jumbo for when I want the big sound. I got this to practice in the bedroom. It's a nice small-body light guitar that still has a decent sound. Not much in the bass department, it's on the bright side. It hits the "Here Comes The Sun" sound quite well. If I were still a gigging musician, I could see this in my guitarsenal for some of the brighter sounding songs. Try one out and see if it suits you. My rating is "bang for the buck", not to be compared with a Martin or Taylor.
