Fender Deluxe Vintage Leather Guitar Strap Black

This strap has the look of the "good'old days"! The only bummer is that you can really only use it when performing. If you use it for consistant and long practice you will notice that your shoulder will begin to ache due to no padding. But for the performance look it is a great strap that makes you look good and unique.

It's a good strap but in my opinion it could be cheaper

I read the reviews before purchasing this strap and was prepared to have to make some minor adjustments.Upon arrival at my local guitar center I was happy with the order.It was delivered on time as promised and the quality was what I expected for the price (pretty good). I had to cut about 6 inches off the front half of the strap and punch a new hole for my front strap peg to give me the higher up adjustment I was looking for.I then gave it a liberal two coats of mink oil and let that soak in for a couple days it darkened up the natural finish a bit to give it a great honey tone and softened it as it was a little stiff this will dramatically increase the life and comfort of the strap.It is exactly what I wanted for my Fender parlor acoustic (also purchased from Guitar Center)and supports the weight of an acoustic great. I would think about some strap locks if this was on my electric especially as time goes on and the holes become a little looser as all leather tends to stretch over time.It would be nice if this was a full inch or inch and a quarter wide rather than the half inch the strap is because it puts a little tension on the ends that slide on the pegs but the mink oil has helped that fit easier.It works great for me and the price of other vintage style straps being $50.00 to $150.00 the price works with my budget.

Comparing this to the other vintage strap, this one is simply too long -- the non deluxe is the way to go if you want vintage looks and don't want to have your guitar hanging low. Otherwise, it's a very nice strap.
