Resonant Tonewoods Produce a Warm, Articulate Sound
The CB-60SCE features a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides, tonewoods prized for their resonant and balanced acoustic properties. The spruce top brings out the bass's warm, mellow tones while the mahogany back and sides add richness, depth and clarity. Together they produce full, articulate tones with a resonant sustain. The concert-sized body provides enhanced volume so your basslines can be heard in an unplugged setting.
Slim, Comfortable Neck Profile
The CB-60SCE has a slim-taper mahogany neck for comfortable playability. Its easy-to-play profile has a gradual taper from the nut to the higher frets that slides effortlessly under your hand. The 22-fret laurel fingerboard has dot inlays to help guide you to each note. Whether you prefer fingerstyle or pick playing, the CB-60SCE's slim neck will make soloing and complex basslines a joy to perform.
Flexible Electronics System Captures Your Acoustic Tone

When amplified, the CB-60SCE delivers the same full, rich tone you experience unplugged so you never lose the essence of your acoustic bass sound.
Premium Appointments and Playability
The CB-60SCE includes premium appointments for enhanced playability and performance. Die-cast tuners provide accurate, stable tuning while the adjustable truss rod allows you to tailor neck relief to your preferences. Great Buy
I had previously bought a Dean acoustic/electric bass with a jumbo body style and only played it a handful of times over idk how many years because it was too big. That was my fault for buying without trying it out or reading reviews at the very least. Now that I bought this fender acoustic bass, the body is way smaller than my other bass which in turn feels way more comfortable and it plays smoothly. I do have to re-tune it every now and then but that's the least of my worries as this is just used to practice. The pick guard has a 'free online lesson' sticker on it that can (and should) be removed by simply pulling the clear pick guard protector off. I have yet to test the electronics on this bad boy but that's because I mainly purchased it for its acoustic design…and it produces a great volume of sound when playing solo. Overall, I love this bass.

Really wanted to love this!
I really, really wanted to love this acoustic base. I'm not a player, this is a gift for my wife. I was excited to find a Fender for a really affordable price. I love the classic spruce and mahogany body, clean lines, and mostly great construction. BUT, the pick guard. At first I thought there was a small area where the adhesive had delaminated and I would be able to press it into place. Actually though, the plastic has a small crease in it. This causes the edge of the pick guard to stand proud no matter how firmly pressed down. Honestly, it's a small enough problem that I'm not going to bother with all the hassle of returning it. This is a straight up quality control problem. The instrument otherwise appears to be well crafted. There was an inspection tag on there with two sets of initials on it and a still it shipped with this obvious flaw. A good value loses a lot of its luster if the quality of off. Hey Fender, I did not have an "exceptional customer experience." Boo!

Nice sound and quality playing. I would change the strings to a GHS Bronze that has less buzz and more of a dead sound. Otherwise this would be great for ol' Skool blues, Gospel and Jazz. Could be used for beginners or professionals.

I saw it in the corner. Very unassuming bass, satin finish. Then I picked it up. This Bass is amazing. Smooth finish feels good in your hands. And when you play it, the guitar comes alive. You can feel the whole guitar is full of sound. With a melow vibration against your body. You feel this guitar. You want to sit on the couch holding this guitar playing it. And when you plug it in. It sounds just like a Fender electric bass guitar. Simple electronics. I love this Bass guitar.

With a price match and a 15% off coupon, this bass was a great deal. Looks, sounds and plays good. Needs to be plugged in if you're playing with more than one or two acoustic guitars. My only gripe is the lack of cases/bags for this bass. Fortunately, Gator has an ABG bag that fits.
I absolutely love this bass!

I purchased this bass to practice around the house and occasionally plug in. This bass has way more volume than far more expensive models, and it sounds fantastic through an amp. The action is great, and it's a beautiful instrument! I highly recommend it.
