With over two years of R&D behind it, the American Ultra Series Telecaster launched in 2019 as Fender's most advanced, highest-performance Tele ever. For players who dreamed of a classic Made-in USA Tele vibe in a guitar with modern playability, it was intended as the ultimate production version of the long-time classic. What could be better? This Guitar Center-exclusive edition resulted from partnering with Fender to create a Tele that features a stunning Denim Burst finish with painted silver-logo headstock, AA flame maple top and a smooth-playing striped ebony fingerboard. Like the regular American Ultra Telecaster, it has Fender's fifth-generation Noiseless pickups, advanced electronics, tapered heel and body contours, a redesigned neck shape and super-comfortable rolled edges on the fingerboard. This is a Tele that will fit you like your favorite pair of broken-in jeans. But don’t let these modern updates fool you. The vibe of the American Ultra Denim Burst Telecaster is still classic Fender.

Fender American Ultra Denim Burst Tele Main Features

  • Dual vintage single-coil noiseless pickups
  • Master Volume with series/parallel S-1 switch, master tone, three-way pickup switch
  • Sculpted neck heel for easy upper-fret access
  • Modern D-shaped tapered maple neck

Ultra Noiseless pickups

Fender first went noiseless back in 1998; the American Ultra Denim Burst Telecaster features the 5th generation of these pickups, with decades of refinement behind them. It’s classic Tele single-coil sounds without the hum.

Advanced electronics

An S-1 switch is nested into the volume knob giving you the option of series or parallel wiring. A treble bleed circuit maintains the highs even when you’re dimed out.

New heel contour

A first for Fender, the American Ultra Denim Burst Tele's sculpted neck heel allows for effortless access to the upper frets. It’s a significant reduction in bulk at the base of the neck, super thin, but structurally sound, with maximum resonance.

New neck shape

The American Ultra Denim Burst Tele neck has a modern-D profile. It’s flatter than a standard-D, with a faster back and a little more “meat” on the shoulders. Fender created an all-new process to apply a thin coat of satin urethane, giving the neck a completely smooth, raw wood feel. Your hands won’t stick here. The special striped ebony fingerboard has amazingly comfortable rolled edges for serious ease of play.
