The Fender American Ultra Series Stratocaster HSS rolled out in 2019 as a guitar designed for players who want the most advanced, highest-performance Strat ever made. After over two years of intense R&D, analyzing and improving everything on this new flagship, USA-made line, it was a serious winner. There's really only one way to make it even better. We worked with Fender to develop an exclusive version for Guitar Center featuring a stunning Denim Burst finish over a AA flame maple top, painted headstock with silver Fender logo, and a smooth, striped ebony fingerboard. Like the original, it's got fifth-generation Noiseless pickups, Fender's amazing Double Tap humbucker, advanced electronics, tapered heel and body contours, an upgraded neck shape and rolled-edge fingerboard. It all adds up to a Stratocaster that fits you like your favorite jeans. But don’t let these modern updates fool you. The vibe of the American Ultra Denim Burst Stratocaster HSS is still classic Fender.

Fender American Ultra Denim Burst Strat HSS Main Features

  • Noiseless pickups in HSS configuration
  • Master volume with S-1 switch and individual tone controls, 5-way switch
  • Rolled compound-radius ebony fingerboard
  • Modern D-shaped tapered maple neck

Ultra Noiseless pickups

Fender first went noiseless back in 1998; the American Ultra Denim Burst Stratocaster HSS features the 5th generation of these pickups, with decades of refinement behind them. Loaded in the neck and middle positions, they produce classic, single-coil tones with zero noise and hum.

A ‘bucker in the bridge

The American Ultra Denim Burst HSS Strat also comes with an overwound Double Tap bridge humbucker with cover. The Double Tap is specially designed to match the volume between pickups in coil-split mode, so you never have to dive for the volume knob.

Advanced electronics

An S-1 switch is nested into the volume knob, which splits the humbucker into a single coil, but adds extra winds for a hotter single-coil sound. A treble bleed circuit maintains the highs even when you’re dimed out.

Rolled edges

The 10" to 14" compound-radius neck makes for easy chording on the lower frets, with a flatter profile for faster fretting and more accurate bends on the upper registers. The special striped ebony fretboard has rolled edges for added comfort.

New neck contour

The American Ultra Denim Burst Strat HSS neck has a modern-D profile. It’s flatter than a standard-D, with a faster back and a little more “meat” on the shoulders. Fender created an all-new process to apply a thin coat of satin urethane, giving the neck a completely smooth, raw wood feel. Your hands won’t stick here.
