  • Incorrect bridge Placement

I had exact same issue with the bridge not placed correctly, causing the high e string to be very close to the edge of the fingerboard and slipping off all the time with my SRV Stratocaster. Fender gave me a pain in the neck for the warranty and still did not approve a replacement. The authorized Service Center just pulled and shifted the neck by loosening the bolts just trying to make it more centered, but it still sucks. These fender guys are so greedy with poor quality control. Come on guys, these are your higher end models. We are not talking about some MIM or squire models here . Give me a break! 2 Thumbs down 👎.

I have the same issue as Dave from DFW. The nut is nut centered in neck causes high E string to slip off neck. I bought this guitar then got sick. 3 weeks in hospital, 2 months in bed with breathing machine. I finally picked this guitar to play it, and noticed the nut. GC warranty was over. Took to two fender dealers both saying need full replacement, but fender WILL NOT APPROVE!!!! Been fighting them for over 4 months with no progress.

The nut is off on these, apparently it's a factory issue and effects the high e string, rolls off fretboard and can't be repaired. I'm told all Floyd Rose Fenders are like this. Sad because I liked it.

  • Don't hesitate, buy NOW!

I have zero negatives about this guitar. Playing it feels like silk. One of the smoothest guitars I've ever gotten to play!

  • FINALLY a Strat for Shredders!!!!

First things first, let's talk about Fender finally making a Strat for shredders..Period!!! (Bout time!). Now let's talk about the literally incredible neck. Not only does it finally have a stainless steel frets, but has a roasted type appearance and feel to it which is so silky you have to play it to appreciate it. Furthermore, the look of this guitar in the silver burst with a matching black headstock is drop dead gorgeous! I also appreciate the hum bucker being able to be split into a silent single coil both of which sound fine and they are bright and responsive but not a lot of bottom per se but again we're talking about a Fender here. The "shredders heel" of the Ultra series neck joint is amazing!!! The negative however is to my ears positions two and four of the five way switch which are the bread and butter for most Strat players has zero "quack" and zero glassy sound. It just sounds like you're combining two pick ups on any guitar. I found that a bit odd and I might also add that the single coil sounds of the neck position are vastly low output (at least to my ears) leaves a lot to be desired. But they are advertised as "hot". As a minimum, I may swap it out for something better fit my style.

2 questions: are the knobs standard? I like to personalize my guitars a bit. Want to put on fancy Knobs. Couldn't tell wit the double tap volume control if I can. Second question: would I be able to add a kill switch to it?

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
    1) The knobs can be removed. 2) You probably can. It's not designed for it.
