When the guitar arrived, the middle pickup plastic cover was cracked. Guitar Center offered to take the guitar back, but having to ship it back and wait for a new guitar over a broken pickup cover didn't appeal to me. My luthier had some OEM covers so I used those, The guitar also needed to be set up, which is to be expected I guess. I would also like to see a real hard case for the price. I traded the gig back and got a nice hard case, which I would recommend if you want to protect the guitar and be able to humidify it.

Great quality. Mine shipped almost in tune and set up perfectly. Texas Specials sound great. The neck is the best part. No sticky finish and i love the jumbo frets. Not a single blemish. Sonic blue is one of my favorite colors. I'll never be selling this one.

Found mine "used" at GC in Fayetteville, NC. It wasn't used much or for long. All the protective plastic was still on it. The Texas Special pick-ups are fantastic! I set mine up as a blues powerhouse, all 5 springs in the tremolo, GHS Boomers (11-52) and kept tuned down a half step. Paired with a Blues Jr III makes the greatest tone! Came with cheap gig bag! Easy enough to fix but C'mon Fender! Really!?

Comments about Fender American Special Stratocaster Rosewood Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I have several high end guitars and needed a Fender to round out my collection. This Strat is one of my favorites and tend to grab it first all the time. I love it and highly recommend The American Special. Its a perfect Strat for me and play it more than my Gibsons. I never thought that would happen!

Comments about Fender American Special Stratocaster Rosewood Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I've had a number of Fenders and Gibsons, and this is by far the easiest to play. The jumbo frets an 9.5" fretboard, along with reasonably light weight make this a breeze. The Texas Specials also provide a broad range of sounds over the three pickups -- probably better for those who like little grit to a lot, rather than super clean playing (like me).

                    I LOVE THIS GUITAR.
