Comments about Fender Custom Shop Robert Cray Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Do you love Strats? Do you almost never touch the tremolo bar? Do you like lush sustain and double bends? Answered yes to these then you need to play a Cray. Stretching strings over bridge that is drilled into the wood transfers the vibration directly into the the wood. This is the source of resonance and its relative, sustain. This is why hollow bodies sustain all night and partly why tremolo strats don't. To get around this a normal Strat locks into a heavy metal block, which indirectly is base of the bridge. You will not believe the difference! Robert has big hands and he wanted a fat (again tone) and wide flat rosewood fretboard. The result is like no other Strat.. You have to feel it. Mine is purple and built by John Page in 96. Never out of tune and just makes you play better!
