Get rid of that lasting tone after you hit any drum. I use these on my 14" Yamaha Stage Custom Birch snare drum. There is a difference in the ring width as well.

I bought these rings for my metal snare and they make it sound great! They take away the overtones and give it more of a responsive, short lasting punch instead of that small acoustic sounding ringing after you hit it. All in All these are the greatest. Evans is my chosen company for all drum head components.

These rings can eliminate even the loudest and worst overtones ever! Definitely good for your snare.
