Comments about Evans Red Hydraulic 10/12/16 Tom Pack:

I purchased these for my Ludwig Accent 5 piece kit since it's only a 500$ set and Tom's are acrylic she'll not maple or birch. With that being said I wanted to get a deep tone out of them best I could, so I went with Evans red hydro. Let me say this, I have zildjian zbt series cymbals which sound ok but I am going to switch to K series now. Now with the new heads the drums sound just awesome. Deep tone and fantastic re-coil being that there 2 ply I believe. I bought Remo ambassador white head for my snare and it matches perfect with the Evans red tom heads.

Comments about Evans Red Hydraulic 10/12/16 Tom Pack:

I wasn't sure about these I bought 8",10",12", 16", and 22" for the kicker. I put them on with Evans Resonant Glass Tom Heads on a Ludwig epic drum kit. My band members were impressed with the tone and sound the drums produced with these heads. I'm sold on them I may put them on my rehearsal kit and practice kit for the fun of it. Price is $$$ but worth the sound. I have not used them a lot yet, but as we are gearing up this summer we will see how they stand up. I haven't had to retune them much at all so I'm very pleased. I think I could put these heads on about any kit and make it show ready.
