Ernie Ball String Explorer: Acoustic Earthwood 80/20 Bronze - C.F. Martin D-28

Ernie Ball
Description

Ernie Ball's Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings are proudly offered, delivering a harmonious fusion of warmth and clarity. Made from 80 percent copper and 20 percent zinc wire wrapped around hex-shaped, brass-plated steel core wire, these strings sing with a crisp yet rounded tone and pleasing overtones. Their familiar light gauge sizes, ranging from 11 to 52, provide a comfortable feel for most acoustic players.

80/20 Bronze Wire Creates a Vibrant Yet Nuanced Voice

The 80/20 bronze alloy produces a tone that is both bright and rich, crisp yet warm. Treble notes have a ringing clarity while bass notes resonate with depth. Chords ring fully with complex overtones that shimmer and glow. Single notes are rounded yet defined. This blend of sonic qualities gives Earthwood 80/20 Bronze strings a voice that can handle both delicate passages and powerful strumming with equal grace.

Hex-Shaped Core Wire Means Maximum Tonal Transfer and Longevity

At the heart of each string is a hex-shaped brass-plated steel core wire. Its shape maximizes the surface area in contact with the 80/20 bronze wrap wire, allowing for a full transfer of vibrations that shapes tone. The brass plating on each core also resists corrosion and rust, enabling the strings to retain their fresh-string tone and intonation for a remarkably long time. Players can expect clear, in-tune tone for weeks of regular playing.

Familiar Gauges Feel Natural Under Fingers

From the 11 first string down to the 52 sixth string, the light gauges of Ernie Ball's Earthwood 80/20 Bronze strings feel familiar and comfortable for most acoustic guitarists. The modest string tension makes fretting and bending easy while still producing a balanced tone across all six strings. The pack of three sets is also convenient, ensuring fresh strings are always on hand.

As with all Ernie Ball strings, Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic strings are made in the USA to the highest standards of quality and consistency. They produce a premium tone and feel at an affordable price, providing exceptional value for acoustic guitarists at any level. I play acoustic guitars and usually used a 10/50 gauge. I wanted a fuller sound and tried these. I achieved what I was looking for. I've used Earthwoods' for years and have never been disappointed.

I use these on my G series Takamine and my Epiphone Masterbilt. The tones I get are outstanding plugged or unplugged. If you want a better sound put these strings on.

Does this come with all 6 strings for an acoustic guitar or do you have to buy each string individually and do these work well specifically with the Rogue RD80 acoustic guitar?
