These strings are great. I tend to capo to the 4th to 7th fret to get a clear harp like tone. I want something tonally between steel strings and nylon. These are the ticket. Most Silk-and-Steel strings are lighter gauge than these and my high E and B strings distort a bit when they're too thin. These ones, more of a medium gauge (E is a 13) sound great. I wish they kept their beautiful clear tone longer but you cant have everything. I like the LaBella's of the similar gauge but these Ernie Balls sound as good and are cheaper.
