Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay Special HH Electric Bass Buttercream

Description
The Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay Special HH electric bass combines the classic style of its 1976 original with updated features for today's players. The alder body and maple neck provide a balanced tone with clear lows, focused mids and crisp highs. Two custom Music Man humbucking pickups deliver a wide range of tones from vintage warmth to aggressive edge. An 18-volt preamp gives this active bass massive headroom and a three-band EQ helps shape your sound. This special edition StingRay also includes a roasted maple fingerboard, lightweight tuners and a pickguard in eye-catching mint green. Plug into a StingRay Special HH and experience the iconic Music Man sound.
Powerful Pickups Produce Legendary Tone
The StingRay Special HH features two custom Music Man humbucking pickups that provide the punchy, articulate sound the StingRay is known for. The bridge pickup has an aggressive, gnarly tone perfect for rock and punk styles, while the neck pickup delivers a warmer, rounder sound ideal for Motown-inspired lines or jazz walking bass. Used together, these pickups produce a tone that cuts through the mix with authority.
Active EQ Offers Total Tonal Control
An 18-volt preamp gives the StingRay Special HH more than enough headroom for any playing style. The three-band active EQ—with bass, midrange and treble controls—provides 15 dB of boost/cut at 100 Hz, 800 Hz and 5 kHz to shape your tone. Boost the mids for extra definition, cut the bass for a tighter slap sound or turn up the highs to cut through loud guitars. The active EQ, combined with the wide-ranging pickups, offers virtually unlimited tonal possibilities.
Iconic Design With Modern Upgrades
While the StingRay Special HH retains the distinctive look of the original StingRay, several upgrades improve playability and reduce weight. The roasted maple fingerboard and lightweight tuners shave off about a pound, reducing neck dive and shoulder fatigue. The redesigned contoured body sits comfortably against your body, and the rounded fingerboard edges give smooth playability up and down the neck. A high-mass bridge provides rock-solid sustain and intonation.
Premium Components for Professional Performance
From the graphite-reinforced maple neck to the stainless steel frets, every component on the StingRay Special HH is built for the rigors of professional performance. Schaller tuners keep tuning stable under aggressive playing, while the high-mass bridge produces clear, ringing notes. Stainless steel frets withstand years of hard playing without showing significant wear. A Mono case protects your investment and makes transporting this iconic bass easy.
