Only guitar I've ever loved and hated

I've had this guitar for a year now and played it to the point of breaking it in. Everyone included myself think this guitar has amazing tone that only a IBG (copy) J45 could provide. The "Gibson " tone really does shine through. But no one ever discusses the weight of this guitar. 6 lbs 3 onces...too much for constant standing. Plays really well! Unless Indonesia is really China, that's where it's made and if it's truly a clearance item then it could very well be a collector's item one day.

Yes

The Guitar set up was terrible and the intonation was messed up. The reason was the saddle had its compensation on the G String not the B String like the Gibson model. My luthier made a new saddle and now it is an amazing guitar! I love the thick neck it is very comfortable.

it is a big neck. i have good sized hands, but still found it cumbersome to get around on. secondly, it just doesn't sound very good to my ear. i own a few guitars in the same price range, taylors, eastman , that really outdo the epiphone slash in playability and tone.

I gave my friend my guitar. He's a buddy who doesn't get out much? So I'm wandering around the GC and find the Epiphone J45 Slash in red. So I bought it. I have five Martins. Pretty much night end. I had them put new strings on and tweak the neck. They did an excellent job. Took it home and I can't put it down. I will not be giving this one away it's a big guitar with a big sound.

After taking my Epiphone J45 Slash to my guitar doctor, had the neck done, took off the pick guard off, and had some Martin Retros I have to say this is my favorite guitar. Love the look. Love the tone. I have seven other guitars including a Gibson J45, a Martin D40. This does it for me. I always end up playing this one

I was very impressed with the quality and construction. Impressive sound that I am sure will play in nicely over time. May need a minor adjustment here or there but overall the setup and action were very nice right out of the box.

Bought this guitar in Denver. When I played it it had great tone….on some strings. I bought it anyway. It looks like someone tried to lower the action and then it stopped. So it goes to the luthier I trust. I think it's gonna be a great guitar.

Why does the Epiphone Slash J45 have a compensated saddle on the G String and the same model of the Gibson has it on the B String?
