From the Inspired by Gibson Collection, the Epiphone SG Classic Worn P-90s gives brings fans the iconic SG solidbody electric in a "worn" open grain finish. Now available at Guitar Center, the Epiphone SG Classic Worn features a mahogany body, 60s SlimTaper mahogany neck, 12" radius Indian laurel fretboard with dot inlays and a pair of powerful Epiphone P-90-PRO soap bar single-coil pickups. The Epiphone SG Classic Worn P-90s also features the classic black "batwing" pickguard and Epiphone Deluxe tuners with ivory buttons.
Like the Gibson classic, the Epiphone SG Classic Worn P-90s adopts the same distinctive shape with an all-mahogany body that adds warmth and depth. The added "worn" open grain finish makes this guitar look as rich as it sounds.
Like many models in the new Inspired by Gibson Collection, the Epiphone SG Classic Worn features a 60s SlimTaper neck. With a mahogany construction, the shape of the neck makes this guitar comfortable, and fast, to play. It’s capped with an Indian laurel fingerboard and faux ivory tuning knobs that add to the vintage look of the Epiphone SG Classic.
With the original Gibson design in mind, the Epiphone SG Classic Worn was designed with a pair of P-90-PROs soap bar single-coil pickups. They deliver the full and reactive attitude players would expect from the classic Gibson model. Epiphone’s legendary P-90-PRO single-coil pickups were first produced in the early 1950s. They produce a raw powerful tone that helped define the blues and rock and roll in their formative years. Now, the P-90s’ traditional combination of high output and brilliant tone continues to be a favorite among many top musicians.
The Epiphone SG Classic Worn is complete with a stopbar tailpiece, LockTone ABR bridge and Epiphone Deluxe tuners with ivory buttons for precise and dependable tuning stability. Adding more punch to the Epiphone Firebird is its upgraded features, included Grover Mini tuning machines with an 18:1 ratio for precise and dependable tuning stability. The hardware is finished in a nickel coating.
