GREAT Sound

By Blues Guitar Man

from Michigan

Comments about Eminence Patriot Red White and Blues 120W Guitar Speaker:

In the past, I have been pretty faithful to the Celestion products, running mostly Vintage 30's, Greenbacks, and G12 Heritage speakers. However, one of my amps is really bright, and all of these (especially the V30) made it sound really harsh and aggressive. I replaced one of my 212 V30 cabs with one of these and an Eminence "Cannabis Rex" and it was a night and day difference. The Cannabis Rex gives you a really smooth, fat low end, and the RW&B is aggressive enough to cover everything else. I've you've got and amp that is really aggressive, these will fix it right up. They sound FANTASTIC, and are really warm, but still very articulate and don't break up in the higher register, and for the price (and made in the US) you CAN'T beat them. Great speakers!

Very Tight Low End

By Douglas Stewart

from Hollywood CA

Comments about Eminence Patriot Red White and Blues 120W Guitar Speaker:

High quality speaker and performs as described. However, I purchased as replacement for Blues Jr. (single speaker combo) wanting a fuller tone. I play both lead and rhythm and I appreciate a full sounding note when I hit the 5th and 6th strings. I play both single coils and humbuckers. Note that Eminence describes this speaker as a "natural upgrade for the classic American amp" and as having a "nice tight low-end." Well that's an understatement, as the low end is so tight there's no way you're gonna tap it - at least with a Blues Jr. The mids and highs are nice. Also note that the sensitivity is greater than the stock speaker so it will be louder. I replaced the RW&B with an Eminence Legend GB128, which Eminence accurately describes as "full low end, warm, throaty mids and a very open top end." Couldn't be more pleased with the GB128.

Nice!!!

Comments about Eminence Patriot Red White and Blues 120W Guitar Speaker:

The speaker in my '96 Fender Hot Rod Deluxe died suddenly. I needed a good speaker that didn't cost a lot and had a blues vibe type of sound. I was going to get the Texas Heat but it was on backorder. Red White and Blues suits my needs from clean, to crunch and to downright filthy. It sounds really good. In fact it sounds better than the original speaker. My amp still has the Fender sound so nothing was taken away but instead added. The amp sound is a bit more punchy and the 5th and 6th strings don't get all muddy sounding as they did with the distortion set, like it did with the original Fender speaker. My main guitar is a Fender Telecaster Memphis special. (Three pickups, five way switch) my other guitars are a Squier Strat and an Epiphone LP. They all sound great with this speaker. American made, and very well built. Received it in about five days after I ordered it.

Comments about Eminence Patriot Red White and Blues 120W Guitar Speaker:

I needed a pairing for the "Tonker" from Eminence. I constructed a vertical 2x12 pine open back cabinet. RW&B on top and Tonker below after breakin pairing is magical sounding. If your amp is bright this pair will warm up for you, if your on the darker side this will also work they can brighten up a lot. If you haven't figured it out the music I play and write is southern rock, blues, and clean sounds. I use an American strat, single coils and a Les Paul with Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates. The amps are Marshall JTM 45, Egnator Rebel 30, and Fender HRD. I can't speak highly enough about this pairing of speakers for these styles of music through these amp heads. The clean sounds for all , no matter which guitar are full , articulate and wonderful sounds not lacking in anyway. The sustain last for days if you want it too. I spent almost a year looking ,listening and searching for a pairing to go with the Tonker. This is what your ears want to hear!
