Overview

Now you can get the Egnater Rebel 20 amp head and Rebel 112X cabinet in one hot ultra-portable half-stack.

Rebel 20 Amplifier Head

The Rebel 20 from Egnater is a truly professional amp head with features and sound that are anything but small. Inside you'll find three GrooveTubes 12AX7 preamp tubes, a pair of GrooveTubes EL84 power tubes, and a pair of GrooveTubes 6V6 power tubes. Not only do you get the signature Egnater TIGHT and BRIGHT voicing switches, you also have wide range gain control that lets you go from bluesy clean up to roaring high-gain lead all using a single gain knob.

The Watts control lets you turn the Rebel 20's power from 20 watts to 1 watt for bandstand to bedroom volume. This guitar amp head also includes a professional quality effects loop that doesn't "suck tone." But the coolest feature of the Egnater Rebel 20 is the TUBE MIX control”an Egnater first. With the TUBE MIX knob turned counterclockwise you get the classic American sound of the 6V6 power tubes. Set the Rebel 20's knob full clockwise to experience the more aggressive, British sound of the EL84 tubes. For the first time, you can blend the two types of tubes in any proportion you wish to create a truly signature sound.

Rebel 112X Extension Cabinet

The Egnater Rebel 112X is a 1 x 12" birch speaker cabinet that combines musical prowess and functionality. The closed-back cab is loaded with a custom-voiced Egnater Celestion Elite 80 speaker. The front-ported design provides maximum bass response and sweet singing highs. With a height of just over 15" and width of less than 19", the Rebel 112X speaker cab is compact enough to fit on any size stage and is the perfect complement to the Rebel 20 head.

buy it

By Blake Thomas

from newberg OR

Comments about Egnater Rebel Half Stack:

just buy it. this is the swiss army knife of amp's. Of course it's marketed for classic rock player's and blues player's. but crank up the watt's and turn the gain up all the way and you get the sweetest sounding crunch. This amp just make you sound alive, and the best part of the disortion is that it has a very natural and organic feel to it. The fricken thing is so amazingly load even when im playing with pther people my amp has never had to go over 12 o clock. and of course the blues and more classic sound is amazing, and the tube knob thing, is so invative. it can do anything just buy it.

Tone monster

By John Finley

from Jacksonville,Florida

Comments about Egnater Rebel Half Stack:

This thing is exactly perfect for my situation, I have a home studio, and play small local venues, this amp has many useful tones, I mainly play a Strat and have a Tube Screamer and a CRYBABY on the floor and a Holy Grail in the effects loop....pretty affordible set up sounds great, and tone options out the butt with this amp, when I buy another one and I will, the TS is history, and I'll run a A/B box through the 2 matching cabinents..yeah the cabinet sounds great... all this is built like a tank, and best of all my stuff says it was built in America

Egnater Rebel 20 Half Stack

By Mark

from Nappanee, IN

Comments about Egnater Rebel Half Stack:

Just bought the half stack Rebel 20, great big sound from a small package. If there is any critizism, kind of light on the low end. When connected with a vintage 30 cabinet it all comes together. I haven't done anything live with the setup yet, but I do not perceive any problems. Thanks Mr. Egnater, keep up the great work.

Buy this amp if you want clean tone

By Gabe

from Rockville, MD

Comments about Egnater Rebel Half Stack:

I recently bought the egnator rebel 20 half cab & head - most crystal clear tone I have ever heard. If you are looking for clean, bright tones - this is the best money can buy. Great with dirty tones as well - I will most likely buy another head for my dirty tones & run both to the same cab & split w/ an a/b/y box or something. This really is for the "tweaker" guitarist who wants the most control over their tone. I am a "tone purist" & spent all night when I first bought this playing with the different tone capabilities, which are endless. One of my favorite features is the effects loop - hard to find an amp w/ an effects loop in this price range that will give you the same kind of sound. With this head, I can run my guitar signal straight to the head & keep all my effects in the loop. Obviously from there though you will still need to control your effects chains in the loop to maintain your tone. Gotta love going guitar straight to amp! Bottom line - buy this if you want clean tone w/ endless possibilities. Great for pedal junkies too!

One of the best on the market

By Drew D

from Birmingham, AL

Comments about Egnater Rebel Half Stack:

I got this amp about 2 months ago, and so far i have been amazed. After a few days of tweaking around with it, i can achieve almost any tone i want, and thats straight in the amp with no effects! The effects loop that is offered with this model, as with all of egnater's wonderful products, is unique for this size and wattage of amp and i have yet to find another brand or amp that does this. The effects loop works wonders with delay, reverb, compression, etc. The tube mix nob makes the amp worth buying by itself. Awesome concept put to awesome use! I favor the el84's but the 6v6's work equally as well. Volume wise, i see no problem with it. I play small venues to very large outdoor concerts and this amp gets the work done. Even with a single Cab it is plenty loud, and with another there is no doubt. (the cab is pretty beastly as well). I've played through an Original Twin Reverb, Vox AC30's, etc and i believe this amp compares equally in quality and tone. Absolutely amazing piece of equipment everyone should try. If something should happen to it, i'll buy another right away.

Fantastic Amp!

By Brendan

from Portland, Oregon

Comments about Egnater Rebel Half Stack:

Just picked up a rebel 20 with matching 1X12 cab after researching and playing many amps over several days. Pros: The tone and dynamics of this amp are fantastic! The tube mix feature is like two amps in one. The build quality is very good. The three year warranty is nice too. The amp was a little noisy in the store, turns out it was hooked up wrong, with a new speaker cable plugged in correctly, this baby is "quiet" even with my MIM telecaster. Good for blues, jazz, classic rock, probably won't satisfy a hard core metal head. Cons: Single channel-- just roll back the volume knob and add distortion to your leads the old fashioned way.
