Easy to use great gain channel with thickness and clarity. Unexpectedly good cleans.
Solid amp with enough basic features to sound pretty decent

I bought this amp because I've seen and heard other musicians use the fireball 100 and have had great results and compliments on their tones. It is easy to use and a good proven amp to use as a base for finding your own guitar tone that you're searching for. I personally feels it lacks a bit on features but if you match it with the right pedals/effects that you want to use it will sound fantastic!

This is one hell of an amplifier. I've been playing my Engl Fireball paired with an Engl 4x12 cab for about a year now and am very happy with it. The cleans are warm and smooth, and the lead is absolutely crushing. The design looks great with red glowing tubes behind the sleek Engl logo. I've heard nothing but compliments about my tone with this amp. There are a couple downsides, you have to purchase the channel footswitch separately and the EQ is also very basic. It would not stop me from buying this amp again though. I would recommend to anyone looking for a serious hard rock/metal tone. This amp is seriously awesome.

its hard to describe something that you've never experienced before, but i'll try. i'm not sure if there is anything called "the German sound", but this sure fits the bill. Dark roar that i've only heard from a marshall, but it doesn't sound like a marshall. it has low end like the 5150's but it doesn't sound like the 5150"s. its like a German beer. stout, dark, strong as hell w/ great flavor different that any other beer. it gives hints that you've heard it before, but you haven't. this amp blows away a lot of them out there and if it fits your style it blows them all away. its that good. i don't really like the powerballs, so i wasn't a big Engl fan, but i had the cash to buy anything out there and i play a fireball-100. enough said!!!!!
