Best reasonably priced capo

By Blake Brauer

from Chicago, Illinois

Comments about Dunlop Victor Capo:

Dunlop's Victor Capo is unique but simple, cast of solid bronze, you can feel the quality immediately. The worm and gear can be dialed into the precise pressure that will hold steady and doesn't throw your intonation out the window. Buying any other capo is just throwing money away, this one will last a lifetime.

great design

Comments about Dunlop Victor Capo:

This is a capo I've been using since it was introduced, long before Dunlop bought it. I find the design and craftsmanship very pleasing; clean, unobtrusive and quite durable. What I like most, as mentioned in another review, one can dial in the precise pressure required for any guitar, acoustic or electric, with any gauge strings, and there is no pitch distortion or buzzing strings. Like many guitarists, I have a lot of instruments and the Victor is great on all of them. If I could just stop losing them I might find out how durable they really are.

    Comments about Dunlop Victor Capo:

I bought two of these capos. I really like the appearance and the low profile. They work well, but aren't as easy to use as the trigger style, but it's a trade off for the low profile. My only cons, is that the rubber pad on both began to deteriorate in about 1 year and Dunlop doesn't seem to offer a replacement for them. One of mine came with an obvious flaw in the gold finish. I expected a little better quality for the price.

    Comments about Dunlop Victor Capo:

It looks like it has been used for at least a year! Lots of marks & scrapes on the finish. The rubber peice that lies on the strings had a deep goove in it caused by the pivot arm being closed on it by the tight packaging! Took me two days to work it out by rolling a ball point pen on it like a rolling pin. Didnt notice the goove until i tried to use it.thougt there was something wrong with my new guitar with all the buzzing! Oh well, i fixed it works good now but still looks like high miles on it!
