    This is a better, safer alternative to your unfished maple fretboard than Lemon Oil. If you have an unfinished maple fretboard you need to be very careful with what you use to clean it. For a very long time, lemon oil was the the go-to. The problem is that it will, over time, begin to change the finish of your fretboard. You will begin to see a darker and uneven appearance. The Formula 65 Coconut Oil Conditioner doesn't do that. It goes on evenly, allows you to clean any surface grime, and then wipes off easily; without discoloring the maple. There is no greasy residue or build up afterwards. The fretboard is clean, protected and back to its original finish.

    I got a cheap used Squire strat that was filthy. Had to clean it up and recondition the dry Rosewood fretboard. This worked wonderful and it has a pleasant smell. Made my fret board feel better significantly.

    Actually a real awesome product,and I'm enjoying using much more than the lemon oil...seems to work much better,and does not have the lemon scent.
