Great!!

By Connie

from Sacramento, California

Comments about Dunlop Deluxe Pro Guitar Capo:

Unlike the reviewer before me, I recieved the right capo the first time I ordered it. And...it's fantastic! I've never used one like this before, and I like the change. No, it's not as simple as the more slip on styles, but it's tightening capabilities are fantastic, and I don't think I'm going to have any kind of problem with it.

Excellent for learning

By Christopher Robin

from Denver, Colorado

Comments about Dunlop Deluxe Pro Guitar Capo:

The capo is definitely nice. I will be thoroughly shocked if it brakes on me. I would not suggest it however if you are looking to be playing for an audience. It takes a little bit to switch between frets. Other than that, I love it and would buy it again if I lose mine.

Not the one in the picture

By Pcabrera

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Dunlop Deluxe Pro Guitar Capo:

I purchased this capo thinking that it was the flat one (15F pictured) but I received the curved one (15D) twice. The first time I called customer service, they did apologize and told me to keep the one I received and that they would send me the flat model and if by any chance I got the wrong one again to please call. For the second time, I got the curved one and called again. I was told by another rep that what is on the site is not exactly what you'll be getting and that they ship whatever Dunlop sends them. He did instruct me to go to a GC store and resolve with them through retail assistance. Not Good!

Comments about Dunlop Deluxe Pro Guitar Capo:

this capo is great, all my buddies have a trigger capo, but me being on a budget and needing a capo decided to try this one. it works great, adjusts great to all my guitars, electric and acoustic, and its a nylon band and wont wear out like the elastic band capos. overall great buy, and great price

SLOWER TO ATTACH, BUT S0LID AS A ROCK!

By Larry Weas

from Austin TX, San Diego CA

Comments about Dunlop Deluxe Pro Guitar Capo:

I LOVE this Capo! I've used these Dunlop Capos for years now, and for a number of reasons. First, while they may not be as quick to place as the "clothespin" type of Capo, and therefore maybe not the first choice for LIVE performances (where you need to change setups quickly), they WILL give you far more secure control of the strings once in place. You may need to "arrange" the strings a little before clamping it down, in case they've splayed out a little (and they may). Once clamped down, it's NOT MOVIN'! Secondly, it's LESS OBTRUSIVE than the "clothespin" OR "roller" types. You WON'T find yourself bangin' yer hand into it when you're playing up close to it, a CONSTANT annoyance to me with the other styles. If you DO hit it, it's not gonna MOVE on you like the other types do, and possibly go out of tune or start buzzing cuz it's moved too far away from the fret; it's gonna STAY PUT. It just plain doesn't "get in the way". And maybe the thing I like BEST about the lil' Lever Capo? It's PORTABILITY. I'm a musician, and if I'm out-and-about and there's a guitar around, I'm probably gonna have to pick it up and start playing, if allowed, and if it's appropriate. Guitars are out there, sometimes seemingly EVERYWHERE; Capos are NOT. It's nice to have a few "tools" with ya, for when the occasion arises. I'm NOT about to carry one of those other-style Capos around in my pocket ("Is that your CAPO, or are you just happy to see me?"). But these Dunlops are so small, it's easy to carry around with the two or three picks you've already got stuffed in your pocket (you know you do). So, get TWO; one for your CASE, one for your POCKET. .

Comments about Dunlop Deluxe Pro Guitar Capo:

I received the 15 CD version of this capo; for most fretboards, it's too curved and causes too much tension to be applied to strings 1 and 6, bending them very out of tune relative to the other 4 strings.

For close to $11, this capo feels extremely cheap. I'd say these can't possibly cost more than $1 to manufacture. The fabric part of the capo is very thin and does not wrap evenly around the neck like a thicker and better quality piece of fabric would. This means that the capo usually sits crooked across the strings unless you fiddle with it to make sure the alignment is exactly centered.

I find that the two slots to pull the capo into the applied position are not very useful. The level of adjustment just isn't fine enough to be practical in any sense. The fabric slider/adjuster was obviously meant to serve the purpose of fine adjustment, but fails miserably at that task. A tiny adjustment of less than a centimeter dramatically changes the amount of tension placed on the strings. Furthermore, the slider lets slack out way too easily, meaning if you take the capo off you'll usually lose the perfect adjustment that took a few minutes of fidgeting to get just right.

Finally, the amount of tension needed to hold the strings down on frets 1-3 is usually a bit more than higher frets. However, I find that getting just the right amount of tension for frets 1-3 usually results in way too much tension for any of the higher frets, and if you want to move the capo at all, adjustment is needed. This could be solved by getting the right amount of tension on the rope for frets 1-3 on the second slot to pull the capo shut, and then, when adjusting to higher frets, the first slot could be used instead. However, as mentioned before, the slots just aren't close enough together to allow for the right amount of adjustment. There's always barely too little or way too much tension, and it's frustrating.

There are better options for the price.

I belong to the church choir St. Mary Czestohowa and I constantly move with my guitar between wires of microphones and a conventional capo I get tangled between the cables, so I like this Producto
