Not so twangy

Comments about DiMarzio DP112 Pre B-1 Tele Bridge Pickup:
Good rock, blues, metal pickup, though. Good output. Does not come with installation instruction nor does DiMarzio have them on their website. Lots of buzz. Had to take it out and seal the cavity with Copper Tape. Fixed the problem.

Oustanding pickup

Comments about DiMarzio DP112 Pre B-1 Tele Bridge Pickup:
Too bad there are so few reviews anywhere on this pickup. DiMarzio doesn't promote it and it's been in their catalog for ages. If you think it's an overwound, midrangey rock pickup, wrong! It can do that but it can do stone cold country too. Just back off the volume a bit and give your amp some treble and you're there. I've replaced many Tele bridge pickups looking for this tone. It's got treble but not of the tinny ultra treble kind. More rounded. And the bass boost really punches through. Try it, you'll probably like it.

Comments about DiMarzio DP112 Pre B-1 Tele Bridge Pickup:
Doesn't have the quack of a tele bridge, which is what i was going for, but still clear and awesome. i have it paired with a vintage gold foil and i couldn't be happier. surprised this pu isn't advertised more. i really like it

Comments about DiMarzio DP112 Pre B-1 Tele Bridge Pickup:
My pickup arrived today, and right out of the package it read 12.0. Most of these run 14 or higher. The build quality is bad and it doesn't seem that it has enough winding on the bobbin, it's really thin for a Tele bridge pickup. I will be packing it up and returning it, luckily I got free shipping on it. These used to be great pickups, with decent tone and good quality control. What I got today was nothing close to what I needed, now I have to play shows and record with a junk stock pick up until I get something else from another vendor that will work.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about DiMarzio DP112 Pre B-1 Tele Bridge Pickup:
I recently purchased a used 1993 Fender Blue Flower Telecaster in mint condition at a local retailer.
When the bridge pickup went dead after i brought it home that day, i knew which pickup i was going to put in it. I had installed the Pre B1 in a Valkey Arts Tele that i use to have so i already knew how great this pickup sounds. It has the stock Tele sound with more thickness.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
